Lee's POV

I cough, and Elle's gaze shifts toward me, concern clear in her eyes.

"You're not getting any better, are you?" she asks, coming over with a bottle of cough medicine.

"Not really," I admit with a groan, taking the medicine from her hands.

She frowns, handing me the glass of water from my bedside table. I swallow the pills, washing them down with a sip of water, and she gently rubs my arm.

"I'm sorry you're feeling like this," she says softly.

"It's okay. I probably caught it from someone at work. I should be back to normal in a few days," I say, trying to reassure her.

She nods, glancing around as she gathers her things. "Alright. I'll let you rest. I'll get your classwork from our teachers and stop by after practice, okay?"

I give her a grateful smile. "Thanks, Elle. I love you."

"I love you too," she says, smiling as she heads toward the door. "Feel better, alright?"

And with that, she's gone, leaving the room quiet and filled with the comforting reminder that she'll be back.

Noah's POV

I wove through the bustling hallway toward my locker. As I opened it, a familiar scent of rose perfume drifted over me.

"Hey, babe," I say, turning to see Ashley standing beside me, her smile warm and inviting.

"Hey." She leans in, her lips soft against mine.

"Sleep well?" I ask, grabbing my football bag from the locker.

She nods, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Yeah. You're leaving today?"

"Yeah," I say, shutting my locker. "We've got an away game in San Francisco."

"Boo, I wish I could come with you." She pouts, wrapping her arms around my shoulders.

"Me too. I'll miss you," I murmur, holding her close.

"What time do you leave?" she asks, her fingers tracing the back of my neck.

"3:30," I reply, smiling as her lips find mine again. This time, the kiss deepens, pulling us into a familiar rhythm, her hands finding their way to my hair.

"Mr. Flynn! My office. Now!" a voice snaps from behind us.

I pull back, startled, and spot Principal Wilson watching us with an arched brow.

"Uh... okay, sir." I turn to Ashley, squeezing her hand. "I'll text you later, babe. I love you."

"I love you too," she says, stepping back. "Good luck tonight."

I watch her walk away before following Principal Wilson to his office, scratching the back of my neck. Inside, I take a seat across from his desk, setting my bag down.

"You wanted to see me, sir?" I ask.

Principal Wilson leans forward, a rare look of excitement crossing his usually stern face. "Yes, I wanted to discuss a scholarship opportunity. We recently received a letter from Harvard."

I blink, not quite believing my ears. "From... Harvard?"

He nods, handing me a letter. "The Dean sent this. Go on, read it."

Taking the paper, I read each line slowly:

" Dear Mr. Flynn,

I am thrilled to inform you that you have been awarded a football scholarship to Harvard. Our scout attended your game against Anaheim last week and was greatly impressed by your performance. We would be honored to have you join us and invite you to an orientation meeting next February before graduation. We look forward to meeting you!
