Lucy sat in her living room, not really doing anything. "It's New Year's Eve, I should be out partying with my friends." She thought, but she didn't feel like it. She was thinking about her boyfriend, or, ex boyfriend, Daesung. They had been together for two years. Then it seemed to have come crashing to an end. Their little fairytale, their dream, had ended. Somewhere along the road the magic had just stopped. She sighed and thought about what had happened.
~~~~~ Flashback~~~~~~~
They were arguing again, it was more heated this time. Lucy hated it, hated that they seemed to argue whenever they were together. This time they were arguing over something that had happened at a party they went to."Were you flirting with her?" Lucy asked again, crossing her arms.
"So what if I was? It shouldn't matter, I wasn't going to do anything anyways!" He said, angrily. Lucy rolled her eyes.
"Flirting is flirting. You shouldn't be doing it when you have a girlfriend!" She shot back, she could tell that Daesung was mad.
"Maybe you should relax more and not be so possessive!" He said, with a glare.
"I'm not being possessive! I just don't appreciate seeing my boyfriend flirt with other girls!" Lucy cried, she was so done with this!
"You need to chill out!" Daesung said angrily.
Lucy stared at him for a minute, then said, "ok. Fine. I'm done! Get out of my house!" Daesung stared at her, surprised.
"Lucy..." He started, taking a step towards her. Lucy took a step back.
"I'm not doing this anymore, Daesung. I'm done! Leave right now!" She practically growled. Daesung stared at her for a minute, then grabbed his coat and stormed out, slamming the door behind him.
~~~~~~ End Flashback ~~~~~~~
Lucy sighed again. That was six months ago. When Daesung stormed out, and slammed the door, he had slammed it on their relationship. It was over. Kaput. In the aftermath she had cried, a lot. Now she wasn't sure if she had made the right choice or not, she missed him. She jumped slightly when her phone rang, it was her friend Luna. She picked it up."Hello?" She said.
"Hey Lucy! We're going to a party and we want you to come with us! You shouldn't be alone on New Year's Eve." Luna said, knowing that Lucy was missing Daesung still.
"I don't know, Luna! I kind of just want to stay in tonight." She said. She heard Luna talking to the other girls.
"Lu, we were talking and if you don't want to go out then we can come to your house if you want! We just don't want you to be alone!" She told her. Lucy smiled, Luna was so caring and sweet, always putting others before her own needs.
"You don't have to, I know you wanted to go out! And I don't have any snacks and I'm not prepared for a party." She said, glancing around her messy living room.
"That's ok! We can make a quick run to the store!" Luna replied, Lucy smiled.
"Ok, I'll get everything ready on this end!" She said. She heard Luna and the other girls squeal with happiness, making her smile.
"We'll see you soon!" Luna said. After hanging up, Lucy got up and showered. She put on a cute and comfy dress, then went back downstairs. She straightened the living room and then got plates and cups. She realized that she was looking forward to her friends coming.
She heard the door bell, so she ran over and opened it wide. "Hey!" She said happily, greeting her friends. They came in with snacks and wine. They were having fun talking and laughing together, playing games and watching movies. Then, suddenly the doorbell rang.
"Are we expecting someone else?" Lucy's friend Sunny asked.
"No, I don't think so!" Lucy said, walking over to the door.
"Lu, it's Daesung!" Luna called, from the window. Lucy stopped in her tracks.
"What do I do?" She asked, trying not to panic.
"Stay calm! It's going to be ok!" Sunny said, running over to her and giving her an encouraging hug. Lucy smiled at her friends, then went and answered the door. There stood Daesung, her everything.
"Hey Lucy! I know that you probably don't want to see me, but.....I miss you, and I want you back! I love you!" He said, looking sad. He reached out and gently touched her hair. "I'm sorry for hurting you! I want to start over, and do it right this time!" He whispered. Lucy smiled, she wanted more then anything to start over, give him a chance.
"Yes!" She said, taking his hand in hers. He smiled and went inside with her. And when the clock struck midnight, Daesung kissed her. She knew that no matter what happened, they would be ok.
