Heavy breaths were all that was heard inside the monotonous cell. Her chest was heaving up and down at a rapid pace.
Legs shaking, she stepped back from the bars of the cell.
After about 8 steps, her back hit the solid gray wall. Her legs suddenly collapsed from underneath her, her back sliding on the cold, rough wall.
The shock and fear of the situation was finally hitting her.
Head in her hands, she wondered what she might have done to deserve this. What crime has she committed. Tears were silently rolling down her already bruised cheeks.
She wanted to yell, but her throat was already dry, for she spent around 2 hours screaming profanities and threats, so she thought better of it.
After about 25 minutes of self pity, she decided to just accept her fate. It wasn't like she was in any mood or condition to try and escape yet.
Her eyelids got heavier and heavier, until she fell asleep, overwhelmed with the sudden wave of emotions

Heavy footed steps echoed throughout the thin passageway. The jingles of keys being swung filled the once silent halls.
They were looking for a cell.
Her cell.
But they weren't interested in her....
But her DNA.
