Malone's pov•

After a long morning of thinking, eating breakfast and getting myself ready I finally picked out an outfit.

Just a simple black bellytop with some blue high waisted jeans and my favourite puma socks. Bit specific I know, but nobody can go wrong with puma socks eh?

I texted my best friend Luna, to see how she was doing at work without me.

I took my laptop from one of my bags and went downstairs to the living room.

Thank god nobody was in there, I couldn't spend one more minute with klaus in my sight.

I don't hate him, I just get butterflies whenever I see him.

Maybe I could have some sort of feelings towards h- no, I don't even know him for goodness sake. I've come here to help Elijah with work while he spends time with family but instead I'm growing some sort of feelings towards his brother.

I sit down on the sofa and wait for my laptop to load up.

Elijah's walks in and looks almost surprised to see me.

"Oh, Malone, I'm just going to meet a few friends, I'll be back later okay?" He says politely.

"That's fine" I reply smiling.

I just love that Elijah is so well mannered.

He waves goodbye then leaves.

Now it's just me.

I enjoy the silence and get on with some work for about half an hour.

I get interrupted from my work by a blonde girl.

She looked about my age.

Maybe one of Elijah's other siblings?

"Who are you and why are you sat comfortably on my family's sofa?" She asks with a snobby tone.

"I'm Elijah's co worker, I'm just here to do our work" I say trying to be as nice as possible.

"Oh yeah, so what does klaus think about this then?" She asks folding her arms.

Yeh I definitely think she is Elijah's sister.

Before I could reply a certain someone enters the room.

My heart stops as soon as he enters, and my eyes gaze upon him.

"I actually quite enjoy her company" he says walking towards the sofa and leans on the sofa behind me.

Ahhhh. My heart beats faster.

"Another slag for you to enjoy then, shouldn't she be with Elijah" she says rolling her eyes.

Owch, never been called a slag before.

"Or are you just going to make her one of your hybrids so she can be sired to you" she states.

What is she on about, what even is a hybrid.

"If you don't shutup I will kill you Rebekah, do you understand" he says.

I realised his voice was getting more angry, was he really protecting me?!

"Whatever" she says grinning lightly then walking out of the room.

"Sorry about that, she can be a bit of a stubborn vampire" he says leaning down looking at my laptop.

"Thanks" I respond smiling.

"This work stuff looks boring, how about we go on a trip, to a well known diner in this boring town" he says taking my laptop off me.

"Let me finish it" I say loudly, trying to take it from him.

"After, we go for a small meal" he says smirking.

"Fine" I bite my bottom lip lightly, then put on my Nike air 95's preparing myself to leave.

He practically forces me to link arms with him and we walk outside enjoying the cold and breezy weather.
