Monty skidded as he was near his home. He was..confused, to say the least. There was a big crowd filling the streets, and what seemed to be a distant orange light. He shoved past the enormous crowd of people. They were all different shapes and sizes. He began to feel a bit dizzy, as a bullet of anxiety hit his gut. He started racing through them. Shoving past every one of them, hoping to reach the end. He stopped in his tracks. He knew what the light was. A fire. He sped up more, reaching the end of the crowd.
His home. It was burning down. Firemen trying to take out the fire as best as the fire as best as they could. They weren't done, which meant this was recent. He saw a person being boarded into an ambulance. He rushed over to the stretcher. It was his father. "DAD-DAD ARE YOU OKAY?!" He was unconscious, of course. "IS HE OKAY?!" He yelled in a paramedics face. The paramedic looked at him with a worried look. "We're going to make sure he comes out okay. Come with us, incase anything happens." He said to Monty. Monty nodded, getting in the back of the ambulance. His heart raced in his chest. Anxiety and fear battling for control in his feelings.
The ambulance arrived at the Hospital. It all felt so quick. As Monty slowly came to a realization where he was. A waiting room. He was so worried he hadn't payed attention. It had probably been an hour or two. A doctor came out of the hospital room. "I'm sorry, he's in his final moments. You do not have to co--" Monty ran past him, rushing into the room. He saw the heart beat machine. He looked down at his father, kneeling down to his level. He heard the machine's beeps. He squeezed his fathers hand. The heart beeps began to go faster. Beep...Beep..BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP. He looked at the machine. "NO-NO PLEASE NO!" He yelled, as the machine did a long beep. And the heart beats became a flatline. "DAD! DAD NO PLEASE! PLEASE DON'T GO! PLEASE DAD I'M ON MY OWN!" He slammed his fists into his father's chest as he cried. "DAD!" He yelled. His voice breaking into more tears.
He put his head up, looking at his father's face. Tears rolling down his eyes. "I--I'll find what evil did this to you. I'll find who killed you, dad. I'll find who started that fire." He wiped his tears. He left the hospital room. He ran, and ran. Going down the stairs and out the building. He ran as far as he could, not even using his speed. He wanted to be as far away as his father's dead corpse than anything.
