Almost Christmas

Christmas passing

24th Christmas Eve

I woke in the softest bed I've ever felt. The sheets smelt clean flowers. They were pink and I slept on silk pillow cases. I was alone.

There were beautiful French doors with see threw pink blinds.
I got up and my feet touched a soft furry thing I looked down and saw a white rug so soft so snug.

I opened one door and saw a huge walk in closet with a pink chandelier with shelves of shoes (heels, runners, boots), clothes (shirts, pants, skirts, dresses,etc.) it was beautiful. I slipped on a silky pink dress and went to the next door. Opened to a huge washroom. A bath, a shower, two sinks, a GOLD toilet, a chandelier.

I took off everything a jumped into the bath. There were bubbles so I poured some in. On the wall there were some buttons I pushed one with > on it and it started to play 'river flows in you'
This was the most relaxed I've been in forever.
I shut my eyes and sat there for a while
~knock knock~
"Adeline?"

Carrick pov

I opened the door to her room and she wasn't there so I knocked on all three doors, only the washroom was locked.
I went and got a lighter from the kitchen, knocked, then let myself in.
There she was in the tub relaxed
"I see your enjoying yourself" I smiled
She jumped a bit "oh yea haha"

I lit a few candles which were laid over the counter and put the lighter down. "I'm sorry I couldn't give you anything better but this is the best room we have besides mine which I didn't think you'd want"
"This is perfect and thank you"
"No problem ill let you enjoy yourself come down when your ready I made breakfast"

Adeline's pov

So this isn't a dream. Wow.

I blew out the candles, emptied the tub, and slipped on the pink slip.
I let my bun down and it unraveled into light curls down to my lower back.

I opened the door to see a huge staircase leading downstairs. I was one of the rooms in a large hallways I assumed all of theses were bedrooms too so I headed downstairs. It was huge.  The kitchen had a huge island in the middle a huge stove everything looked so unreal. On the island laid a huge buffet style breakfast; there laid eggs (boil, scramble,sunny side,etc), bacon, ham, pancakes, waffles, fruit (pineapple, dragon fruit, grapes, strawberry,kiwi, etc)
*wow so much food*

"Hey I didn't know what you like so I made all I could think of"
"You don't have any apples"
I have the best serious look without smiling then bursted our laughing.
"Oh my goodness I thought you were serious" he chuckled
"No no I'm only joking"

We are in silence until.

~knock knock~

"I guess I'll get it"

I sat there listening to his footsteps fade.
"Hel- Joey?"
I heard someone fall to the ground, getting up urgently.
"Adeline run!"
I started to run into rooms, where was I going? I had no idea.

I opened one door and it smelled like cologne, jolly ranchers almost. I went into the the washroom and hid on the other side of the tub against the wall. I sat there holding my legged pressed against my knees.

*why was I hiding from joey?*
*i knew him. He was my friend*

"Adeline.....come out.....I won't hurt you" the voice sounded almost psychotic.
My breathing started getting faster.

His footsteps getting louder. "Adeline I will tear every wall,floor,ceiling anything to find you" his voice now very close I put a hand over my mouth.
*if that was Joey why'd he sound so different*
