"UNO!" Jiya yelled triumphantly.
"No fair! You had ALL the 'draw 4s"
"Not my problem, I won so we are gonna watch Star Trek."

Rufus rolled his eyes jokingly as Jiya dragged him to the tv. They looked happy. Wyatt came in the common room and opened the fridge, then the cabinet, and then pulled a chair out that wasn't quite, to say the least. It seemed as if Lucy could hear him chewing his cereal from across the room. A mental image of her (rather colorfully) telling them all to shut up came to mind.

Why am I so irritable? It's not like they're being THAT loud.

Just as she thought it couldn't get any more uncomfortable (with the Star Trek theme blaring in the background and Rufus singing along in mock opera) Denise and Mason came in.

"All I'm saying is that the government has no right to keep me here. As an American citizen I should be able to leave this bunker any time I please." Mason whined in his usual British accent.

"When you find a lawyer who is willing to defend your actions and plead your cause, by all means make your case. Until then," she added sternly "I suggest you get accustomed to your surroundings and quit complaining about your first world problems."

"Yes, well if you gave me access to a lawyer....."

Lucy shut her eyes and massaged her scalp trying to drown it all out. Her breath was uneven and she bounced her leg.

Maybe I should eat something, that might help. She thought. Then again if Rittenhouse jumps I need to be ready and I don't wanna throw up when I get out of the Lifeboat. But, if I don't eat now I'll be hungry in the past and I can't eat then because I could get sick. Ahahfasjjdasaqff!!!!

There was no winning the mental argument. Having had enough of all the laughter, loud chewing, and opera, Lucy swiftly rose from her chair to go take a shower. Looking forward to the peace and quiet, she hoped no one would notice her absence and odd behavior.

Garcia however did. Putting his book down he gaged Lucy from across the room. He'd seen a panic attack before. Hell, he'd had plenty himself, not that he cared to admit. The fact that no one seemed to notice her though, pissed him off. No wonder she seemed a bit off in the journal, with the way her friends didn't even think what her mental state might be.

No. I am not gonna let her become anxious and paranoid like that. If her friends won't be there for here, then I will.
