Tokyo city, Japan...
A tall thin bearded man was running through the pavement as he shoves those mere civilians out of his way, while a young elegant woman is chasing after him.
"Choose!" The woman shouted. "You'll stop or I'll shoot you!"
The bearded man ignored the warning and had kept running. Being ignored, the young woman stopped chasing. She aims her gun at the man's right leg and then shoots.
No civilian panicked hearing the gunshot because there is no gunshot to be heard in the first place. Thanks to the gun's attached silencer.
The bearded man can't run now let alone walk with his condition. All he can do now is to crawl for his life. The young woman slowly walks toward the man, closing the distance between them, and then looks at the man with a cold yet calm gaze.
"I warned you." The young woman said. "You don't want to mess up with the great detective Barton."
The woman named Detective Barton once again aims her gun at the man's head.
"Gomenasai! Gomenasai! Me don't know English. I say Japanese only. Me don't know espers." The man pleaded.
The detective's mind was filled with the thought that this man is an idiot. Now she realizes why the man did not stop with the warning she had given him.
She puts her gun down, calming down a little bit. Then there comes a running fat man with a fedora hat yelling "Detective Barton! Detective Barton!"
"What is it Inspector Murishima?" The detective asked the inspector, smiling.
The inspector catches his breath before he can reply to detective Barton.
"You're still unparalleled." He said and took a deep breath again then ended with a sigh.
Detective Barton did not further answer inspector Murishima's statement and just smirked. Her silence means her approval to the inspector's statement. She leaves the inspector behind putting off handcuffs on the runaway suspect.
"Wait! Detective Barton." The inspector called her.
"Just send me the details about the background of that killer later. Sayonara, inspector." Detective Barton said turning her back then waved goodbye.
After the long walk, she arrived at her apartment. The tired detective throws her body at her bed and her head at her nice soft pillow. It's not too long before she can fall into a short nap, her phone suddenly rings.
She read it and headed straight into her study table where multiple monitors were placed. She turns them on and a message is shown on the screen continuously blinking. It says "Retrieving Connection" and then it changes into "Connecting".
The screens suddenly turned all black and then all lit up again showing different faces on each screen. There were a total of six screens that means a total of six different faces.
"Agent Eclair reporting." She said. "It's confirmed."
The main screen at the center shows a man with blondish yellow hair and wearing a calm serious face.
"How does it goes?" The man at the center screen asked."The mass murderer has nothing to do with the Raven." She answers.
Another man with a grumpy look and his hair dyed red, from the leftmost screen asked "Did you manage to act like a real detective? Or you already blew up your disguise? Now tell me, which was it agent Eclair?"
"Are you trying to mock me, sir Red?" Agent Eclair answered with another question. "Let me remind you, you're talking to VOID's most skilled agent."
"I think that's enough for the two of you." The man with the blond hair interrupted. "The Project VOID has a new mission for you agent Eclair. You'll go to the Philippines."
Hearing that country causes Eclair to feel great uneasiness. For that is the country where it all happened. Eclair thinks of it while holding a small aged pocket watch. It's where she lost her everything...
