donghyuck whimpered as he pulled out of johnny's embrace, missing the warmth he had. the younger was able to re-bond with someone, and so he bonded with johnny. he felt that mark would be happy with his choice. 

he really missed mark, his heart ached whenever he thought about him. 

he missed everyone honestly. he just wasn't sure how to feel anymore.

should he live happily with johnny, or mourn the lost? he was kunfused, yet he still stayed happy. or as happy as he could stay.

donghyuck woke up to the sound of his phone ringing, a never-ending sound it seemed. he picked it up, it showing a random phone number. 

gulping he picked up the call.

"hello?"

"oh my god donghyuck, you're okay." it was sicheng.

"y-yeah, i guess."

"what happened?" 

"m-mark, h-he's gone."

"what! your boyfriend?!"

"y-yeah." donghyuck bit his lip to keep from crying.

"oh my, i'm so sorry love. is there anyone else to take care of you?"

"mm, im dating a new someone."

"do you love him at least?"

donghyuck hesitated, did he love johnny? yes, he did, but as much as he loved mark? hell no.

"yes."

"is he good to you?"

"yes, very g-good."

sicheng went silent for a second, taking in an audible breath.

"do you live together?"

"yeah, w-why?"

"i didn't know if you needed a home or not." 

donghyuck smiled to himself, sitting down on the bed again.

"oh, i don't, thank you though."

"no problem love, just stay happy, it makes it easier to forget okay?"

"yes."

"bye bye hyuckie."

"bye hyung."

and the call ended. 

donghyuck snuggled back into johnny, his head resting on the taller's chest. he wrapped his hands around his waist, pulling himself closer to the alpha.

"johnny?"

the older shifted a bit, closing his eyes tightly before fluttering them open. donghyuck felt his heart do the same.

"mm?"

"do you love me?"

"of course baby." johnny pecked the younger's forehead, hugging him closely. "i always will, just like mark would."

donghyuck pulled on mark's sweatpants and sweatshirt, them being too big for him. he slipped on renjun's shoes, the fit is perfect.

he grabbed johnny's hand and led him to the graveyard.

he placed down an array of white roses on mark's grave, his eyes shut. he tried not to cry, but when johnny pulled him into a hug, he let it out.

all of it.

"johnny..." donghyuck cried, gripping the latter's shirt.

"shh i know, i know."
