~I wish I could be there now~
"Simon's already left." Niall whispered, as they crept down the stairs. But there were also other people in the house that would rat them out if they left. Simon's rules were explicit - don't leave the house for the next two weeks at least to reduce exposure.
Louis was warming up the car, Liam was helping Harry down the stairs, Zayn had Simon's credit card in hand. Niall was dancing out the door as quietly as he could. The whole group hadn't made a Starbucks run in a long while, and they needed some quality catching up time.
"I don't need help, Liam." Harry said, swatting him with his good arm.
"Sure, Hazza." Louis said as they came out the door.
"I'm a normal human being with a cast on their arm!" Harry said, getting into the car. "I'm hopped up on pain meds anyways."
"Did you grab the files?" Liam asked, looking around at everyone.
"In my bag. Five of them." Zayn said, opening a small box of Junior Mints.
"Where did you get those?" Niall asked, eyes narrowed.
"Simon's office. I couldn't sleep." He admitted, crossing his legs on the seat, which impeded Niall's leg room.
"Where's the baby?" Niall pouted. "I wanted her to come too."
"I left her with Hailee." Louis said. "I trust her."
"I don't." Zayn crossed his arms. "I can't find any information on her online. She's a ghost."
"She's not going to kidnap Fin." Louis said. Harry huffed as to say that he didn't trust her with the baby.
The group huddled together once Louis parked the car, being ready to run at any second. Harry's arm was hidden, and given their paranoia, it was good that everyone had their coffee orders memorized. "Zayn?" Louis asked, being the one ordering. He knew that he had ordered an iced coffee with milk when Niall was gone, but now that he was back...
"Vanilla latte." He smiled widely, and Louis winked at him.
Niall threw an arm around the computer nerd. "So, you and Liam. When's the wedding?" The question was met with a glare.
"We're not official." Zayn murmured. "But I'd like to be."
"Liam's still being a little twerp?"
"We both are." Zayn leaned against the wall. "I told him that we'd talk soon." Niall ended the conversation by nodded and walking away, towards Liam. Zayn wasn't worried about him repeating the conversation, because he could loudly hear them talking about some sporty things. Very manly things.
Several feet away, Louis was holding Harry in his arms, talking to him in a low whisper about who knows what. He was swaying slightly; the two of them looked at each other in the way that only lovers do. Or high people look at the pizza delivery guy.
"Louis?" The barista called, the smaller man leaping forward to collect their drinks. "A hot chocolate for Hazza here, Vanilla latte for Zaynie here, Payno gets his snickerdoodle latte, Niall gets his iced coffee, and a Grasshopper Mocha for me!"
"All is right in the world." Harry sighed, taking off the lid to make sure that there was whipped cream.
The group sat down at a table in the corner, far away from people. Then Zayn pulled out the files. "Time to get down to business." He smiled.
"One Direction unites again." Niall said, fist bumping everyone around the table. Louis snorted at his dorkiness, but did it anywhere. The others did it too, rolling their eyes as well.
And what a feeling it was.
