“Father I am not going” He said walking into his father chambers without knocking.

Then unintentionally saw his father and mother kissing. “You two are old stop doing that” he screwed up his face.

For as old as they are, his parent; Emperor Fredrick Garden Cornelius and Empress Annabelle Cornelius did always behave like young age love birds.

When they broke apart upon hearing their son's voice his father irritated said “Do you not know the meaning of knocking”

“No. Apparently my parents were too busy to teach me.” He responded with a smirk.

“Like father like son” his mother said laughing.

“What if we were naked” she added

“Then I would be vomiting by now.”

“Why are you hear anyway” Emperor Fredrick asked.

“I was told we were going for wife hunting and I came to tell you I am not interested ”

“First of all we do not hunt wives since they do not reside in the forest. Second, you will go whether you like it or not. And lastly you are not getting any younger” his father barked.

“You know I have been searching for her” He argued not interest in any of the reasons his father stated. All he wanted was a girl he has fallen in love with.

“Caden, this is the last kingdom we will go to and if you do not find her there, I promise on the throne that me and your mother will not bother you again”

Fredrick and Annabelle knew about all the dreams  he has been having and would have done anything to find her if they knew what she looked like.

“Why do we have to go when it is almost Christmas” Caden just wanted an excuse not to pursue this family tradition of searching for wives. He is not a big fun of Christmas.

“That is the main reason we should go. Maybe a Christmas Miracle will happen.” His mother said dreamily.

“You know I do not believe in Christmas miracles”  He was angry that he was being force to go.

For almost ten years he has been having dreams of a girl he had never seen before. The girl was covered from head to toe. Only her eyes were visible.

The only words she always utter in his dreams were “Their fate will…..” getting to the end of the sentence, he could see her mouth move but no sound heard. At the end of the sentence she slowly turns into snow with tears slipping her eyes. Then he would wake up panting and sweating a lot.

He went to the training ground to release his anger. After a few hours of training, he went to wash up and prepare for dinner.

In his chambers, he went through a journal which he had pictures of the dream woman in it.

“Who are you” he asked. Lots of questions runing through his mind about it. Signing he left to the dinning room.

“Hello my worst enemy” his sister Princess Amie Cornelius said with a smile.

“Do you not have anything better to do than annoy me”

Grand princess Amie is younger than him. She never respected him as an older brother. Ever since they were kids, they never agreed on anything. They are each other enemies as they say. But deep down the love each other a lot.

“No”

“Why did I even ask” he was in no mood to argue with his sister.

“Because you an idiot” Amie simply replied daring him.

“Do not start” He knew what she wanted and was not going to give in.

“Oh I just begun.” She faked smiled and added “I heard you will be leaving to search for a wife. I pity the woman you will chose. Thanks to the heavens you would not be here for Christmas though.”

He was about to reply when their father said “You will be joining us”

Caden laughed seeing how her face changed.

“Why should I go with you people” Her happy face slipped into a scowl.

“Maybe you will find a husband too” Caden mocked.

“It is almost Christmas and I do not hate Christmas. He does.” She pointed at Caden giving him a dirty look in return he smirked at her.

“You father's word is final.” Their mother concluded knowing how easily her husband gave into their daughter.

“Fine. Which kingdom are we going to now.” They have been to different kingdoms but never on Christmas.

“The Snow Wolf Kingdom” Fredrick answered cautiously.

“Not that Kingdom. Anywhere but there.” She knew most of the history of that Kingdom. What she hated the most is the royal that banned Christmas for some unknown reason.

“For once I am excited to go on a wife hunt.” Caden added seeing her reaction.

Her face went blank as she throws her knife at him. Luckily he dodged.

“You could have hurt my arm”

“Too bad I was aiming for your head” Amie smiled then added “Papa come on you love Christmas like I do let me stay”

“you are going whether you like it or not. Maybe a something good would happen.” Annabelle answered before Fredrick could.

“Yeah right only if that Kingdom celebrates Christmas” she angrily stood leaving the dinning hall.

It has been a week since the argument and she is still not speaking to any of her family members.

They are in a carriage heading to Snow Fox Kingdom which is a two weeks journey .

Only Caden has to travel with the knight since it is tradition and would rather prefer to be with them than his family.

“You can not avoid as forever” Annabelle said gentle.

She still did not speak to her nor even turn to look at her. They had reach the Kingdom about to enter the castle.

“We know how much Christmas is important to for that we are sorry” Fredrick admitted feeling bad and hating the silent shoulder she was giving him.

“I am sorry too papa.” she stood up a little hugging her father.

“I also forgive you” her mother said sarcastically.

Amie and her father laughed
“I am sorry to mama”

“Between you two I always think I do not exist”

“Same goes when you are with my son”

The carriage came to a stop indicating they have arrived. He watched as his family came out one after the other. When his father came out, his eyes wondered around the castle.

That is when he saw a figure in the windows of the tallest tower of the castle.
