Chapter 5 - Rosas In Love!

At the end of the day I pack up my stuff and get ready to drive home. The elevator door dings and I walk in "Wait! Y/L/N!" Amy shouts. She rushes to pack up and stumbles into the elevator. "So, you should come to Shaws Bar with us tonight! Its Rosa's birthday-"

"Wait how do you know her birthday?" A goofy voice replies, Jake. Is in the elevator to.  "Gina kinda helped me stalk her, " The elevator doors start to close. a loud bang and it stops. A hand on the door, "Wait." Amy clicks the 'open doors' button. and Rosa stalks in.

I give her a big smile. "What are you smiling about?" I stop and step back for a second, "Uhh, nothing." She scoffs under her breath. "You guys know something." "No!" amy blurts, Rosa raises her eyebrows "Wow," she says surprised "Whatever Rosa!?" Amy said.

"Come to Shaws with my tonight." I say, steping back beside her. "Why? I want to go home and sleep." I roll my eyes "Yes those are valuable plans but mine are better. Now you are going to come with me, Jake and Amy to shaw's. Got it?" The elevator doors open and I pull her out of the elevator. 

"Damn, Y/N. How did you do that?" Amy says as she follows me and Rosa out to my car "Do what?" I unlock the doors and casually respond. "You took a bold ass move, Y/N. Im surprised she didn't- oh uhm. I see." Amy laughs under her breath. "Sorry, I got it. Check. Come on jake." Jake mouths something to me that I cannot understand.

I get in my car. "Im not going to Shaw's " Rosa leans against the car door. "I know its a surprise birthday. Boyle told me. You know I don't do this stuff."  I sigh and put my hand on hers "Rosa please? its your first birthday with me as a, thing." She rolls her eyes and buckles her seat belt. "Fine." She returns my hand hold and I drive us to the bar.

"Surprise!" Everyone shouts as we enter, drinks in the hands. "Here, its on me." I order a dry martini and her, cheep whisky. How she likes it. "Thanks..." I smile and put my arm around her waist. "To Detective Rosa Diaz!" I raise my drink in the air. Rosa smirks at me. "To Detective Rosa Diaz!" Everyone cheers.  I smile and drink. 

I stand by Rosa and Jake for a while before Amy walks over. "Hey Jake, go talk to boyle for a while." Jake reluctantly obliges. "So you guys are dating?" I roll my eyes and Rosa sighs. "No Amy." I say, "We aren't dating." She scoffs and sits beside us at the bar. "Look at your guys's posture. 

"So?" Rosa says. Ordering another drink. "Posture isn't everything." I reply. "It is." They both say. "Rosa, I can see that your hand is in Y/N's back pocket of her jeans." I laugh a bit as Rosa slowly removes it. "No its against her back.." Amy raises an eyebrow. "Ok fine." Rosa leans in to Amy "We have a, thing" Amy squeals. 

"I know that squeal!" Jake runs over. "Someones dating someone." He looks at me, then to Rosa, then to Amy. "Man I really cant read faces." he sighs "So whats going on?" Amy's face is grinning. I have a look of embarrassment and shame. and Rosa looks like Rosa. Stern and Badass. "Y/N and Rosa have a thing for eachother." He says, Amy shushes him "Omg!" He whispers in excitement "You guys have a thing for each other!!!" He smiles. 

"Jake keep it on the low." I say, "No one is allowed to know." He nods. "Yup everyone is going to know." He stand up on a chair . "Everyone! Rosa is dating someone!" I get up and leave the bar. "Damn it, Jake." Rosa says and she runs after me

Its cold outside and I sit in my car. Loud banging on the window, I look and its Rosa. I unlock the door and she gets in. "Hey babe. Listen, I shouldn't have come. Im sorry jake embarrassed you. But please dont run off like that. Its so suspicious." I sigh as she speaks "I love you, but" I kiss her before she can finish. "Its ok. Lets go home." I drive us to my apartment.
