chapter 1- The ship

    Mikasa poked her head above the surface of the blue sea.

"Mikasa! What are you doing?" Sasha whisper yelled at the ravenette, tugging on her arm.

    She glared down at Sasha and swatted her hand away. She looked at the dot in the distance. 'A ship.. Are there humans on it?' she thought and swam closer ignoring Sashas protests.

    When Mikasa was close enough to touch the boats side, she narrowed her eyes. 'There are humans on this ship.. I must warn the-- Huh?' She looked up to see someone reach out towards a red scarf, drifting off the ships deck and get carried into the water by the breeze.

    "Dammit! Erens gonna kill me.." The man who reached for the scarf muttered and stomped off.

    Mikasa tipped her head to one side and examined the red scarf.

   'What is this?' She thought to herself, and wrapped it messily around her kneck and head.

    'Its warm.. Maybe i should return it? Yes that would be right..' Mikasa thought and took it off. She swam over to the ship once again and called; "Hello!" and quickly tossed the scarf onto the side of the ship and dove underwater.

    The same man from earlier ran over and gaped at the sopping wet scarf.

     "Oi! Horse-face! Wheres my-- Eh? Why is it all wet?!" Another man demanded angrily.

      "It flew off the side if the ship and into the water.. Now its back on the ship.." The other declared.

       Both men continued to argue as Mikasa sat on a rock nearby watching. She tipped her head to the side.

       "Mikasa! Mikasa! Mikasa!" Sasha yelled. The two men turned around confusedly.

       Mikasa glared daggers at Sasha, who cowered into the water. One of the men, this one with dark brown hair and large emerald eyes, caught a look at Mikasa. They locked gazes, but Mikasa jumped into the water, breaking the gaze.

      "Mikasa! The Council needs to speak to you," Sasha said quietly.

      "Why?" Mikasa asked.

      "I dont know. They just want to see you" Sasha replied.

      Mikasa nodded and swam towards the large rock that was home to the Council members.

     She entered and swam in front of the large desk they retreived from a sunken ship.

     "Mikasa Ackerman, of the Burmuda.." The resident of the council Erwin Smith, began.

     "We bave called you here because of our suspisions. We believe that you have been trying to interact with the humans--"

     "With all do respect, That is stupid. I was merely looking at there ship. I did not speak to any human." Mikasa inturupted.

     "Well even so, we are suspisious of your whereabouts--" Erwin began again.

     "Just because I am suposed royalty, does not mean--" Mikasa shot.

     "Acctually, Ms Ackerman, you most likely are royalty." One of the other council members, Hanji Zoe, cut in.

      "--Does not mean I must be couped up. If you must know, I made eye contact with a human. He even saw my tail. Now, I will be going." Mikasa finished and turned to leave.

     "Actually, you cannot leave unless the council or royalty banishes you." Nanaba intergected.

     "Then I banish myself. Anyone who objects I--" Mikasa began, but a messanger burst in.

      "Mr Erwin! Your highness," he began and Mikasa rolled her eyes, "Im afraid there are humans a mile away, their ship is sinking!"
