"Go on, just ask him!" Alanna pushed me toward my dad's office. We were supposed to go out to a party, but the thing is we didn't have any money.

"Okay, okay," I said, I took a deep breath and opened the door. "Daddy?"

"Hang on," he said into the phone, he put his hand over it as his attention turned to me, "what is this in my hand?"

"A phone."

"And what am I doing on the phone?"

"Talking."

"And what're you doing right now?"

"Interrupting." I gulped.

"So what should you do?"

"Leave."

"Correct."

I sighed and left, Alanna looked at me with hopeful eyes, "what did he say?"

"He's on the phone," I replied.

"What? He's gonna be ages!"

"Yeah," I bit on my lip, "c'mon, I know where some extra cash is."

She followed me throughout the house. I wouldn't say it was a huge mansion house, but it was pretty big, and surrounded by the forest. We lived in the middle of nowhere, which was alright because we knew we were safe. Alanna lived with Daddy and I because my auntie died when we were only young, and Alanna had nowhere to go. Daddy treats Alanna more of a daughter than a niece.

I crouched down in the corner of an old room and opened the safe. Inside was stacks of money, Alanna gasped as she watched me take some.

"What are you doing? You're stealing."

"Borrowing," I corrected, "I'll pay him back."

We soon returned to the living room where I left Daddy a note telling him I had left, and we headed out to the car.

After about four hours, the party was over, and everyone was leaving.

We waited to be the last to leave so we could get out of the car park easily, no traffic and no being held up.

As we got into our car, I noticed an old pick up truck parked a few yards away. Inside was four boys, all laughing and smoking together, until one pointed at me. They all stared for a while, as if I was a problem to them.

I hopped in the car besides Alanna and tried to ignore them, beginning the fairly long drive home.

"Who's that?" Alanna asked after about fifteen minutes of being on the road.

"Who?"

"Behind us," she said, I looked in the mirror and noticed the same pick up truck following us. It wasn't hard to guess whether they were following us or not, because there was nowhere else in the direction we were heading to except our house.

"Great, they're following us," I sighed.

"Who are they?"

"Just some scabby boys."

"You should tell your dad."

"Oh I will."

"I'm home!" I yelled, double checking I had locked the door behind us before calling again.

"He's left a note," Alanna said, I walked over to her and saw he had written on the piece of paper I left him.

'Gone to work, something came up. Be careful and call me if you need anything. - Dad xx'

I sighed, my heart beat quickened. All I could think about was the boys that were following us, I hoped they got lost. The last thing I'd want is to be watched all night.

"Well I'm gonna change into my pj's now," Alanna said, going upstairs.

"Okay," I sighed, I sat myself on the couch and stared at the piece of paper, I wanted Daddy to come home, and fast.

Suddenly, after five minutes of sitting in eerie silence, I hear Alanna scream.

I sat still for a moment, unable to think. I heard shuffling from upstairs and in the end I had no choice but to go and see if she was okay.

I creeped slowly up the stairs, my eyes wide open to see what was going on.

"Lana?" I called, my voice was pitched high and it broke every time I called for her, "Alanna where are you?"

Her bedroom door was shut. My heart race picked up when I walked towards it slowly. My hand touched the cold metal handle, the iciness running up my arm and down my spine.

I opened the door, and walked in slowly. The room was silent.

A figure stood in the dark, right in the very corner of the room. "Alanna? What're you doing?"

A hand wrapped around my waist and pulled me backwards, I screamed but the noise didn't go very far as another hand covered my mouth, it smelt like smoke.

I knew it was one of those boys holding me, because another one was the figure I stared at, and it came into the light and walked towards me.

Although he looked evil, and a little like a psycho, he was gorgeous, beautiful. My eyes were stunned as he stood there in the light. But suddenly it all went dark, and a hit on the head knocked me out.
