Lunch began when I finally got out. But since I got in trouble so many times this week, I got lunch detention. Woopy do. I look around the lunch room while in line for my food. This school was the very few schools that gave out free food, so we didn't need lunch money thankfully. 'I probably should tell my friends I have detention so I don't cause drama with them. They get sensitive like that.' As I reach for my phone in my pocket, I get shoulder checked really hard.

"Hey, watch where your going!" I yell out to the guy.

"You better watch what you say to me other wise you might just get beat!" The male yells back too me in a warning tone.

He always was a pain in the ass.

I just shake it of with a huff and grab my phone. When I turn my phone on, I see I got a text from my mother. "Oh no.." I pull the text up on the screen.

'Mom: What did I tell you about getting sent to the office?! You should know better! You know I can't afford the time to deal with you nor the school! Now I have to go to a teachers meeting thanks to you! I will tell you your punishment later when you get home, but you damn well know that your not going to be using your phone for a very long time.'

Well I'm screwed. With that kind of text, god knows what will happen once I walk through those doors.

I look up from my phone to see a huge gap between me and the line. I look around myself embarrassed, and quickly close the gap. I hope no one got annoyed with me because of that. When it comes to food, everyone is wild animals. My friends wave out to me to show me where they are. I raise my hand in a 'I see you' signal. I go too Susie's contact to text her to tell her what happened.

Me: So, I got lunch detention. I was sent too the office during Math class and they did not appreciate that. I'm not going to have my phone for a while once I get home, I'm in a heap of trouble.

Send. I wait for a response, and look at her from the line. I put my phone in my pocket once I get too the front and grab a tray, to grab some food. Once I get my card scanned, and all my food gathered on my tray, I walk past my friends. While passing by, I whisper something in her ear. "I'll text you during detention." I then quickly make my way to the media center.

"Scarlet Cooper!" The detention lady calls my name, doing a absent check.

"Here!" I call out, raising my hand to show where I am. She continues on the calls meanwhile I'm texting a group chat.

*Rebeccah has been added to the chat.*

I read the following words. I start texting Susie and Jake individually.

Me: I thought it was only going to be us, I didn't know she was officially apart of the group now. I'm fine being friends with her but this chat, has personal stuff on here. We don't even know her that well yet.

Susie: I don't see anything wrong with her being in the group. She seems like a trust able person.

Me: I get that, but don't you think its a bit to quick? I mean, we only met her today.

Susie: Oh shush, she's fine. Just give her a chance.

Me: Fine.

Jake: Is there something wrong with that?

I feel a punch in my chest. Is he... Replacing me??

Me: No, there is nothing wrong with it. It's fine, I was just wondering.

He read the text, I know he did. But he still didn't respond. Susie will tell him, I'll just ignore it. I grab my earbuds from my butt pocket and put them in, closing my eyes and let the rest of the day fade away.
