The wind was blowing and the air was moist. Probably because of the rain downpour that happened last night. I sighed in defeat. There was no way I was going to meet Jesse up, my best bro. It wasn't the time to do this little game. Plus, I'm not in the mood to do this 'bad boy stuff' anymore.
My phone buzzed in my pocket, shocking me, and placing my feel flat onto the ground.
When I lifted the phone to my view, I saw that it was Jesse. He said he would call me soon to talk to me about something.
I answered and lifted the device to my ear. Instant chatter started to fill up my ear, "Benjamin! Wassup? I found out something to forget about the sexy lady. wink wink. haha!" I chuckled at Jesse, sometimes I forget about his bold personality. "Bro, why so quite? You've been acting this way for 7 YEARS, MAN! It's time to get a move on from that girl!"
I remained silent before swill owing to speak, I haven't spoke during those seven years, "your right..." My raspy voice said. "but I need to protect her."I hung up.
I stuffed my phone into my pocket and walked to my destination right in front of me. The place where it filled my sorrow to stay away from her.
The bar.
My warm hands grasped the oily handle. The instant smell of alcohol filled my nostrils. It filled my lungs and I wanted more.
This is for you... This is for you, Ally. You've made it so I've couldn't touch, kiss, love, protect. But I will always protect you from a distance. I will always kiss you in my dreams. I will always love you, forever.
Your forever a part of me.
The tattoo on my neck differs your protest. Ever since the hospital, I kept away from you, but I've saved you. I've been your shadow since the moment I met you.
I took of my coat, revealing a navy V-neck and dark pants with tousled hair from the rain. My fingers glided through the softness of my hair before making my way to the bar.
I took a seat and took a deep breath. The bartender nodded to me, suggesting my usual, I nodded back, saying that I wanted what she was offering.
In a few seconds, she came back with a combo of Colorado and Jameson. My two favorite whiskeys. I took a sip and the warm taste trickled down my neck. the burning sensation made my eyes blaze. I knew it did.
I felt a hand on my shoulder, turning my around. It was a blonde girl with creamy skin and her name was Lila. I smiled and nodded to her.
She was one of my old friends from she I was in High-school. "I see your still not talking..." she took a pause, making me nervous of what she was about to say. "But don't you think you can take a break from that and sing a song?" She put on that irresistible smile she knows gets to me.
"Fine." I said. I got up, whist getting a glance of her blushing at my voice. She never heard me talk.
I went up to the karaoke conductor and took a slip, filled it out, and he announced me on.
I saw Lila. She was taking sips of my drinks which I gave her a death glare for, before heading on stage when I heard that my name was announced.
The beginning of the song started to play and I remembered the lyrics of Survivor again, by black veil brides.
"I never meant to be the one
Who kept you from the dark
But now I know my wounds are sewn
Because of who you are
I will take this burden on
And become the holy one
But remember I am human
And I'm bound to sing this song
So hear my voice remind you not to bleed
I'm here,
Saviour will be there
When you are feeling alone, oh
A saviour for all that you do
So you live freely without their harm
So here I write my lullaby
To all the lonely ones
Remember as you learn to try
To be the one you love
So I can take this pen
And teach you how to live
What is left unsaid
The greatest gift I give
So hear my voice remind you not to bleed
I'm here,
Saviour will be there
When you are feeling alone, oh
A saviour for all that you do
So you live freely without their harm
[Violin solo]
Saviour will be there
When you are feeling alone, oh
A saviour for all that you do
So you live freely without their harm
When I hear your cries
Praying for light
I will be there
When I hear your cries
Praying for light
I will be there
I will be there!
I will always be there!
I will be there! "
After the screams I had to preform, I put the mic away from my lips. All I could hear was the screams off the crowd. They cheered and I heard some comments that were all mixed emotions.
"You sound better then Andy Biersack!"
"I want him to have my babies!"
"Excuse me now, while I go puke from this horrible performance."
"I need to leave now, before I hear any more bad music."
I smiled and thanked everyone on the mic and left the stage to be surrounded by girls and boys.
I did what's some of them asked then one familiar looking girl came to me.
"You were so beautiful and amazing and I really wanted a picture with you." the beautiful girl then smiled.
Right when her lips curled into a smile, I breath shortened. It's her... The girl.. The girl I've tried to stay away from all those years because she had an accident.
Lydia.
Lydia West.
I excused myself to not look to suspicious and left the bar. I couldn't let her find anything out. She can't find out about me.
I've done too many things to hurt her in the past and she would hate me again. I was actually thankful for that accident, so I didn't have anything to encounter with her. I don't want to be the one to keep her from the dark. She's my weakness and I would be throwing myself to her, and only cause pain.
I'm not good.
I, Benjamin, am no good for Lydia West.
