He knew it was coming, it was coming and he could do nothing about it

He knew it was coming, it was coming and he could do nothing about it. He heard the awful news when he was getting ready for his part time job, on the television and he has been on the edge ever since. The slightest touch, the most subtle movements, even down to the faintness of the breeze made Taeil's anxiety go haywire.

A gentle touch on his shoulder from his co-worker Jaehyun had him flying into the counter, hitting his side so hard that he forgot to feel the pain.

"Oh shit, Taeil!" Jaehyun exclaims, moving forward to the frightened male. The pain after a minute, started to kick in and it hurt so much that Taeil curled down to the floor, moaning in agony. "Oh my god hyung, I'm so sorry."

Groaning barely with volume to his voice, Taeil says, "I-it's okay, I'm al... right." Standing up slowly with assistance from his colleague, he held onto the counter as Jaehyun rubbed his back,

"Hyung, 'sup with you?" The tall male punched his card out for the evening, placing it back into the pocket it is originally kept. "I was telling you I'm ready now."

"It's nothing Jae, just not feeling... myself today." Taeil nervously chokes out, trying to stand properly again. It took him two whole minutes but at least he was up on his feet again without assistance. Smiling warily, he held his hand out for Jaehun to take it in which the said male did and they slowly made it out of the cafe.

"...Well, if you say so." Jaehyun skeptically says as he followed behind the shorter slowly.

"Okay Taeil! You can do this. You've done it plenty of times now. It's just water with noise. It can't hurt you, it's beneath you!" Taeil looked into the mirror, trying to coaching himself through his perturbation but it was useless.

"Illie hyung?" The good thing about hitting his hip into his bathroom counter is that it was on the opposite side from where he had hit it before. Masking his pain that registered early this time, he turned around to Jaehyun's best friend, Taeyong, -- he is Taeil's friend too now-- who was smiling brightly at him and he couldn't find it within himself to lash out at him; in his head of course.

"Yes Tae?"

"We're leaving now. I wrapped the rest of the kimchi jjigae and bulgogi in separate casserole dishes, you just need to reheat it in the microwave." Taeil's facial expression dropped when he heard what Taeyong said. He shakily walked over to the smiling male, his eyes begging him to stay as he forced a smile to vocalize,

"Okay, walk home safely now." The opposite of what he intended.

Giggling, Taeyong reached forward and pulled him forward into a tight hug before pulling away to look into Taeil's shining orbs, "Take care of yourself."

"I will..." '...Try' that last part of what Taeil didn't say left a bitter thought in his brain.

He walked Jaehyun and Taeyong out to the front of his parents house, looking out the door where he saw how dark the skies were as if the were ready to burst. He kept staring up at the sky that Jaehyun had to regain back his attention by clapping. Luckily, there were no counters in sight.
