"Please, Chloe. I've been hiding my feelings for so long because I knew it wasn't going to turn out well with Gilinsky," Johnson says sadly.

"Jack, I have feelings for you too. But it's just not right," I say calmly.

"Okay.. I understand." I watch a tear fall down his cheek as he says the words.

It's the first time we've talked about the kiss since yesterday, when it happened. We were driving around, just hanging out when J brought it back up.

"Can we go home?" I ask, looking at the Ikea parking lot we were parked in.

"Yeah," Jack says with a heavy sigh.

I put my headphones in, leaning my head against the window and watching the scenery go by, trying to avoid awkward conversation. Not even 5 minutes later, I feel a tap on my shoulder. I pull out my earbuds and look over at J.

"Yes, Jack?" I ask, trying not to sound annoyed.

"Can you drive? We still have 20 minutes left and I'm getting tired," He says softly while pulling into a gas station.

"Yeah, sure," I say with a small smile. Jack gets out to fill the tank up while I climb over the middle console, taking a seat in the driver's side. He goes inside the gas station to pay and get drinks before coming back out and getting back into the car. I drive all the way home with my earbuds in, only focusing on the road and not the sad boy next to me.

When we get back to the house, I go straight to my room. I lock my door behind me and lean my head against the door. I slide down the door and sit on the floor with my face in my hands, thinking about all that has happened the last few days.

After an hour of just sitting there, thinking, I finally decide to get up and take a shower.

When I get out of the shower, I put on shorts and a hoodie. But not just any hoodie. J's hoodie. Once I'm dressed, I go to the living and join everyone on the couch. I browse through Netflix trying to find something to watch when I feel everyone's eyes on me.

"May I help you?" I ask, turning to them all.

"I told them what happened." Is all that Jack says. I feel my heart drop with anger. I decide it best if I just kept my mouth shut. I get back up and go to my room. I could hear Gilinsky, Johnson, and Aurora all yelling downstairs. I put my earbuds in, drowning out the sounds of their voices and force myself to go to sleep.
