Chapter 5

"Gabriel, let's get a move on it!" dad hollers up the stairs as I'm finishing dressing myself as I've already dressed Benjamin and he's ready to head out to my dad's parent's house.

\We are holding Benjamin's first birthday party there since dad's house doesn't have enough room for the entire Page family; a total of twenty-one people (this includes us). Dad has found himself a girlfriend, Sarah and she's a very nice woman and she makes dad very happy. Dad and Sarah have been dating for the last three months and we didn't meet her until last month. Gavin has a girlfriend named Gabby (her real name is Gabriella) and Kassidy has a boyrfriend named Carter; Gabby and Gavin have been dating for a month and a half and Kassidy and Carter for two months now.

Oh, Micah and I have been in a full relationship for the last five and a half months, ever since I admited that Friday night football game where I admited that Benjamin was my child and not Gavin's. I was correct, his two teammates outed me completly about my ability to birth children but Micah and Gavin were there to protect me when the verbal taunts became violent.

Walking down stairs with Benjamin on my hip and his diaper bag on my opposite shoulder to find, Sarah, Gabby and Micah in the living room with dad, Gavin and Kass. Smiling over at my boyfriend, whose eyes light up when Benjamin and I enter the room, he walks over to me, wraps an arm aroud my left waist since my son is on my right side.

Micah places a tender kiss on my temple before placing a kiss on Benjamin's forehead. "Hi baby," he whispers warmly at me in front of my family causing me to blush deeply.

"Hi M," I greet back as I peck his lips lightly as Benjamin squirms in my arms toward Micah; whom he loves dearly. "Thanks for coming with us, my family kind of stresses me out since I had Benjamin young, two of my uncles like to give me a hard time about this."

Handing Benjamin over to Micah, who happily takes the birthday boy with a huge grin and bounces him slightly in his arms. "Hi baby Benjamin," he softly tells him as he kisses Benjamin's chubby cheek.

Benjamin squeals as he slaps Micah on his muscular chest as he bounces in Micah's hold before snuggling into his chest. "Da-da," Benjamin says brokenly in his cute baby voice.

Everyone in the room gasps at him since this is the very first word he has ever spoken. Tears instantly pour down my cheeks at this milestone. I'm not even upset that his first word is 'da-da' and directed at Micah and not papa at me.

Kissing Benjamin's forehead, whispering "My big boy, papa and daddy are so proud of you!"

Micah picks Benjamin up over his head causing him to squeal happily, saying with giggles, "Da-da!"

"You're not mad about what his first word is, right love?" Micah asks quietly as we head outside to our vehicles.

Shaking my head no at him, I can't help but smile brightly at both of my boys; silently thankful that Benjamin and Micah love each other as much as they do but also sad, wishing that Micah was Benjamin's biological father; I know blood doesn't always make a family a family.

"How can I be mad when my baby boy loves his daddy as much as I love them both?" I ask as we strap ourselves in after Micah strapped Benjamin into his car seat.

Micah turns his world famous smirk at me as he pulls out of the drive heading toward my grandparents home. "I'm hoping Benji's next word will be papa," he honestly says and I love him a little more for his words; he is so damn considerate of my feelings that I almost believe Micah isn't a real person, that he is a figment of my imagination and one day I am going to wake from this beautiful dream to find it was all just that, a glorious dream.

Arriving at papa and poppy's fifteen minutes later, finding that Auntie Sarena and Uncle Hector are already there with their three children. River who is 15 years old, the same age as Kassidy, along with River's younger two sisters; Abby who is 12 years old and Savannah who is 7 years old. Auntie Sarena is poppy Cameron's biological daughter as dad and Uncle Gabe are papa Aaron's biological children.
