lunch with the cool kids

Kevin's POV

It was another school day and as usual class was super boring so I didn't pay any attention to what the teacher was saying, I just kept looking out the window to pass the time. I was thinking of why Amy and her friends were suddenly interested in being our friends. It all seems so 'unnatural' or simply weird

I kept not paying attention to all our classes and at poetry (the class before lunchtime) the teacher spit the class into three groups, each group containing ten people

Someone asked if we could choose our own group but the teacher said no, and when we heard the reply most of us groaned in disappointment but he also assured us that the group he made was based on our social circle which I understood as he chose the group by who we hanged out with. And with that, everyone rejoiced. Well....maybe except for the loners but who cares

(No offence to any loners out there♡)

We waited for our names to be called but after the second group was completed we were not yet called which meant only one thing, we were in the third group with six other kids I don't care about. So as my awesome and good looking self I went back at not listening.

The bell rang, the teacher told us we will discuss with our groups about the project tomorrow not even telling us what is it about. We got dismissed and I was so glad it was over. We got out put some stuff in our lockers and went to the cafeteria to eat lunch.

While walking to the cafeteria, Tyler was talking non stop about something I didn't listen to, but after awhile it got annoying so I turned to him and said...

"Ugh! Can you please stop" clearly annoyed

"I just can't believe it! To day was amazing!"

"Why?" I questioned

"Haven't you heard any words he said?!" Shope exclaimed

"I've been spacing out, ok!" I explained

"Well, Tyler is happy because we and Amy's group are in the same group... if that makes sense" Roach filled me in

"What group?" I asked

"For the poetry project, were you sleeping in class again?" Shope said

"NO!....well maybe for a few minutes, but just a few!"

We reached the cafeteria, got our food and sit down, well we were about to but we heard Amy calling for Shope.

"Hey! Shope! Over here!" She said while waving her hand

"Remember Shope, don't ditch us!" I wisper to her

"I know" she took a few step a bit closer to them "I was gonna eat with my friends over there" she said pointing at us

"Well, you are all welcome to join! The more the merrier, right? Plus this will be a great way to bond for our project" she assured and looked at us "So would you like to join us?" Amy asked

We looked at each other for a brief moment, (except for Tyler, he was daydreaming) and nodded

"Yeah why not" Roach replied and grabbed Tyler's hands leading him to the table. We all sat down and surprisingly the table could fit the ten of us

We four sat next to each other in one side of the table, Tyler, me, Shope, and Roach. On the other side was a brunette wearing red and yellow clothes, in front of me was a girl with a ponytail wearing blue and yellow, then Amy, and a tall guy. And on both edge of the table were 2 other guys

"So let's get to know each other. This is Jason, Kim, May, Blake, and Jay" pointing at each of them

"Nice to meet you" Shope said putting up a fake smile, I could tell because she did it every time is awkward or something is wrong

'This feels super weird'

Then Jay spoke "You must be Shope, the girls talked so much about you"

"Yeah, hopefully all good things" she joked

"Of course, they kept going on how funny and smart you are" he gave her a smirk

'Super creepy dude' I mentally said

"So are you guys free this afternoon?" I think she's Kim... whatever who cares

Shope was going to say something but I cut her off

"Uhh sorry, but we have some stuff to do right Tyler" I elbowed him he snapped out of his daydream but too confused and didn't know what was going on so he just agreed, which made me mentally smile

"Uh- yeah totally! -wait what was I agreeing to" he whispered the last part to ask me

"You'll see" I replied

"Oh, maybe we'll hang out next time" she said a bit disappointed but still looked at the bright side

"Wait we were invited to hang out?!"Tyler said just for me to hear

"Yup and we said no" I replied and emphasized the word 'we'

The conversation went on and as usual Roach was being friendly, well too friendly for my taste but he still got along with them pretty well. Shope was talking to the girls and Tyler was still daydreaming but he new what was going on, and I was just eating my food in silence. After lunch we threw our garbage and went to our classes

But before that we walked to our lockers to get our stuff

"I'm glad that was over!" I said relieved

"I couldn't agree more" Shope agreed which surprised me

"I thought you liked them" said Roach

"I do but I still think is weird" she replied

"You are speaking my language!" I was so relieved the she felt the same way as I did,

(It sounds like he just confessed >v< anyways back to the story)

"But anyways, how do you guys feel about it, well I know how me and Kevin feel and Tyler is definitely enjoying it...so show about you roach?"

"I'm up for anything really"

"Ok then, we both have a problem" she turned to me

"Did you just figure it out? Man, I thought you were supposed the smart one" I grinned

"Shut up" she playfully punched me on the shoulder "wait where is Tyler?" She asked

"He's right behind us" Roach pointed at the drunk like kid walking behind us

"Ugh, now we've gotta babysit him" I groaned

"*sigh* come with me lover boy" Shope said grabbing his wrist and dragged him to class

Me and roach stood there for a moment

"Lover boy? What's that suppose to mean?" I ask

Roach shrugged and left me there.

I really wanted to publish this before tomorrow b/c tomorrow is a special day for me
Not that anyone cares but it's my birthday, I'm one step closer in being an old lady. I'm turning 14, such a great year to be alive (sarcastic)

Anyways we are so close to have a thousand reads and I'm so so thankful of you guys

For anyone who's asking, why I'm not doing any battles is cuz I don't know how to write them, but I'll be learning!
