The next day king Peppy and Poppy came to my Bunker and knocked on the door. Knock knock knock. I heard the knock from above and took the elevator (yes I have an elevator now) up to the trap door. (I'm almost done with my Bunker.) I opened the trapdoor, the fresh air was touching my face. "Good morning Branch"
Peppy greeted. "Good morning," I replied. Poppy looked at me a little shy. "Poppy, this is Branch he has been babysitting you when you were younger," Peppy said. Poppy just looked at me like: "well..." Peppy looked at me and then at Poppy "Poppy you are going to stay here with Branch for two days." He said. Poppy looked at her father Smiling "that sounds great dad!" She looked back at me smiling wide. Come inside I said a little nervous but I didn't show it to them, and then We got inside. "were is Poppy going to sleep?" Peppy asked looking me. "Well, my bedroom is here so... If she wants to sleep in there..." What was I saying this is completely weird of me to be like this I thought to myself. Then Poppy spoke and I snapped out of my thoughts. "That would be great if it's ok for you." Poppy looked at me and I looked at her. "That sounds great," Peppy said. "Now have fun you two I gotta go bye Poppy." He kissed Poppy on her forehead and went out of the trapdoor.
"Well, what do you wanna do," Poppy asked me. "Well, I don't know what do you want to do?" I asked her I was trying to be as gentle as possible. She looked at me again "well we could sing a song!!" She said. I looked at her not trying to cry or be annoyed about the option but I laid the past behind me for a moment. "ok what song should we sing?" I asked her. She thought for a moment. I waited for her answer and hoped she would not request 'total eclipse of a heart.' bc u know why.
" Oh! I know it!! We could sing 'total eclipse of a heart!!' " she looked at me with begging eyes. "Fine, but I would not join you at the song." Poppy's facial expression turned from happy to a little sad and disappointed. "Why?" I looked at her face who was full of disappointment. " Because that song isn't my favorite." Poppy was confused "just because it's not your favorite? But this song isn't my favorite either but I still wanna sing it." I closed my eyes not getting how she could not understand what I was trying to tell her. "What I mean is I don't like that song," I said slightly annoyed. "Come on please.." she begged " o.k. fine I'm singing with you." I said giving up the small fight, but I just could not sing I just couldn't instead I went away into my room sobbing. I left Poppy in the living room standing confused. Why? just why? Am I so stupid just beginning to cry In front of her?! Then Poppy came into the room with a concerned look at her face. "What's wrong Branch?" I ignored her. But she slowly got over in my direction and sat beside me. hey if you have a problem with singing it's ok. I'll just sing for you then. she hugged me and then lead me to the living room "here take a seat" she said and pointed at the couch. I sat down and waited for her to sing. Please don't sing "total eclipse of a heart," I told her she looked a little confused but then began to sing and to my relief it wasn't total eclipse of a heart. she has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. When she was done singing it was getting late and we got to sleep well... in my room and well idk it was a little weird but whatever. Hey I hope you liked this chapter see ya
