Chapter 22

I was a little nervous about writing this chapter because it was the first chapter I have written on my new phone and a lot of stuff is different. Including the key board. Like I can't double tap the space bar for a period as easily anymore which is annoying. First draft there were a lot of accidental unfinished sentences. Anyway I'm done.

I stood in silence admiring the beauty of the flames until behind me I hear footsteps. I sigh softly as I slowly turn around. Shock flowed through my body as I was met with the face of (Y/n). My turquoise eyes trance her angelic face as she stared at me. Her eyes were at first filled with malice but softened slightly as her arms dropped. Her eyes sparkled as she started to recognize me.

"Tou... ya?" She whispered. She almost sounded it out. (Y/n) sounded identical to the way she did when she first said my name.

I tried not to smile at my love. "(Y/n)?" I said calmly. I was actually a little surprised to see her but at the same time I wasn't. "I knew there was a possibility you'd be here. Still I'd hoped you wouldn't be." She looked slightly confused as her hair lightly blow past her face with the wind. Shock temporarily took over her body as she realized something.

"It's you..." she whispered.

"I missed you a great deal. Did you miss me?" I asked with a small smirk on my face. I couldn't stop my self from smiling at her. It didn't take long for anger to take over her features as her fist came in contact with my cheek.

I held my cheek as pain spread within it. I was a little nervous about it swelling. "Guess I can't be surprised." I said to myself. I already knew had she'd react.

"Where the hell have you been?!" She yelled at me. I stared into her as I notice her her ready to punch me a second time. I put my hands up to defend myself.

"Calm down I'll tell you." I say to get her to stop. I bit my lip and looked to the side. Well I kinda couldn't tell her know that I think about it. "I've been doing something different. I decided that I can't cure corrupted heroes like Enji by becoming one so I had to split." I told her.

Her eyes shifted to the eyes side before coming back to me. Not a second later she punched me again. "Ow." I state trying to let her know I'm in pain right now.

She took a couple steps back. "It's being able to touch you." She said staring down at her hands. Her (e/c) eyes traveled back up to me and instead of brutally punching me in the face for a third time she chooses to softly caress my cheek.

(Y/n) swiftly slides her hand back to my chin and makes me look at her. Her eyes got serious. "Why did you leave me?" She asked. Her eyes were softer now and she looked like she was about to cry. I frown slightly.

"I didn't think the villain life was for you and I already knew what I was getting into." I explained to her. Her eyes faltered after she'd heard my answer. I took a small step forward and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"That wasn't your decision to make." she told me. I could tell she was a little frustrated with me but I couldn't do anything about that at the moment. "I missed you." She tells me softly. Her eyes were wet and set with determination. (Y/n) snuggle her face into my chest. "I need you to come back for me. Please..." she pleaded to me with tears waiting to flow out her eyes. That broke me just a little. The thought of hurting her, even just her feelings, was unbearable.

My eyes watered a little bit before almost instantly drying back up. Damn it. It brake me to know that I hurt her as bad as I did. That she was missing me this much. I am so sorry, (Y/n) soon enough we'll be together again. That's only if you don't move on and I won't blame you enough.

"I want to but I can't. I have to correct everything." I tell her. I grip her tight in slight fear of letting her go again. "Just a little while longer. I promise." I could only promise her something I wasn't even sure of. I felt like a liar but deep down I know we'll end up together again.
