Willow usually carries a bunch of stuff (a polariod camera she got from her birthday, water bottle, macbook, notebook journal, a pocket album and her old but good ipod, etc.) with her almost anywhere all the time. That's why she always have her backpack with her.

Author's note: I don't know how to write. But I'm slowly learning on my own pace. It's my first time writing in full english so thanks for checking my story though. I appreciate it so much.                                                                                                         ///
She spent her whole morning strolling down the city, taking mental notes of some places. Her good but old Polaroid camera is hanging on her neck just in case something captures her attention and take a shot.

Also, she needed to get familiar with some of the establishments around her first.

"Here's your double cheese burger killer and milkshake." She mouthed thanks as the waiter puts the food down on her table, not hearing anything that the waiter really said cause Cigarette Dreams is blasting from her ipod video.

"Wow." the waiter said, eyeing the device. "Is that ipod? I haven't those in years. I feel like a granpa already." he laughed at himself.

Half hoping the spontaneous comment would be a good conversation starter with not just a stranger but quite frankly, one of the beautiful girls he has ever seen. She has a long and wavy fiery hair that is currently tied in a loose ponytail. There's two lost strands of hair covering every side of her face and one is tucked behind her ear. She was pale skinned and had freckles all over her face, most noticeably under her eyes.... Eyes that just met his. She probably noticed he was still standing there like an idiot.

Willow removed one piece from her ear and looked up to the waiter cause she caught him saying something. "Sorry?"

"Oh, just uhh." he chuckled and pointed the device. "It's been awhile since I've seen one of those."

"Oh!" she laughed a little and decided to engage more. He's kinda cute, she mentally noted. "Yeah, I get that. I've been inlove with it since I got it in senior year. I'm surprised nobody almost uses them anymore, its like I'm holding an ancient artifact or something."

"Lucky you, mine died a long ago. Must be important to you considering its still playing."

"Guilty. I just can't live without this." They shared a smile for a few moments.

"I'm Adrian.." he opened his hand for a brief handshake. She accepted.

"Willow."

"Willow." he repeated. "I haven't seen you around here. Did you just moved here?"

He knew wasn't wrong to ask. This diner is basically in the middle on the business district which made him familiar with people who comes by, which are mostly employees. Sure, a couple of tourists goes by from time to time. But mostly, he knew these people.

She beamed. "Yeah. I just moved in here yesterday." He was gonna say something when a girl from the counter called his attention to get back to work. "You might wanna go there now. I don't want get someone fired on my second day here." she pointed the blonde girl.

"Wouldn't dream of that." he chuckled. "So it was nice to meet you Willow. If you need help in the city, just let me know." he winked.

"Actually, do you know any bookshops nearby?"

The manager stared at Willow through her spectacles. Stared? It feels like she's glaring on every pore on my face . she thought.

But she remained her cool, still smiling to keep a friendly face. She had this feeling despite the bookshop manager's strict appearance that she was the kind of person that is determined and does her job well. She hated working with lazy and self entitled people in a bookstore in the past, people who don't really give a shit about books like Jason.

Oh, poor old Jason just had to piss her off.

Willow tried to concentrate more on the interview at hand. Adrian said there was a bookshop almost three blocks away from the diner. She fell in love instantly when she entered when shelves and the distinct smell of books instantly welcomed her. The building was spacious although it seemed a little small outside with three floors. She also loved the fact that the lights are dimmed, just perfect enough to give a cozy reading vibe inside. By the stairs, she saw big light bulbs dandling like a perfect chandelier just under the small reading area with a few bean bags and center table. Few paintings also lined the wall in that area. The whole selection of books run from first to second floor and the third floor is where the office and small stock room is located, she guessed.

"I've only been introduced as a co-manager here last 3 years and I want to be very straight forward with you, Ms. Sawyers. If you get this job, I would really expect you to do your responsibilities well. You will only not deal with customers and arrange the books but you would also handle a little bit of inventory as well. It is also your duty to keep my shop clean and we have weekly meetings on Fridays. If you are willing to be my employee, you have to learn almost all the way around here. No. slacking. on. the. job. alright?" When Willow responded yes, she remained her eyes on the girl with a stern expression.

She didn't know what to do. "Uh yes.. ma'am." she said urgently.

The manager's face then relaxed and she stood up from her chair. "You can call me Sam now. Come with me."

Her heart was immediately filled with delight while she thanked her lucky stars and Adrian mentally as both of them exited the office together.

I'm gonna tell Aya about this first thing when i get home later!
