I was told that I had my mother's smile.  Everyone in town said that to me whenever I grinned at one of Father's lame jokes.  Father told me that her smile reminded him of a sun on a warm summer's day.  Her two front teeth were about the same size as her incisors, but they just seemed to fit her.

There are often times when I look in the mirror to examine my 'perfectly-imperfect' smile, but to me they seem awkward compared to the rest of my body.  There were also times when I would compare my smile to the one of my mother's on the family portrait back at my old home.  We do have the same smile; mine just doesn't work well with the rest of my facial features.  Whenever I tell Father, he frowns and always says the same thing.

"That smile is a blessing.  Wasting the smile given to you by your mother would be worse than learning of people disrespecting your mother's death."

Father says that my mother killed herself, but everyone in town glares at him and gibes at him saying things like:  "Are you happy with what you've done?"

Every time I hear someone say that to Father, I feared that he was the one who killed my mother.

Yeah this is basically how these kinds of chapters will work.

There might be multiple parts like this all together, or just one in between chapters, or maybe just one every X chapters?

Who knows?
