"Red Goblins.
They were running all over the place. Goblins who had shed their white color for red skin.
They were never here before the update. But now...
They were a nuisance. Stronger than normal goblins.
Much stronger."

The Next Morning
_________________________________________________________
Taikoho had carried Akina to his place, patched her up, and set her down to rest.
Then, he went to sleep.
When he woke up, he noticed something was off.
One of his windows was open. And his dragon scales from the poison dragon were gone.
He ran outside. Nobody was there.
Then, something hit him in the back of the head.
Next thing he knew, he was tied to a wooden pole with goblins dancing around him.
Red Goblins.
One held a torch. Which he threw at him.
Turns out there was a collection of twigs and brush surrounding the pole.
It went up in flames. Fast.
The fire hadn't reached him yet, but he could feel the intense heat.
Luckily, they'd forgot one crucial detail.
Tying a level 472 player to a wooden pole using ropes isn't exactly going to stop them.
His legs were free, dangling just above the fire. He slammed his foot into the pole.
It snapped with a loud crack, sending him tumbling into the fire.
The goblins, watching as their victim plummeted into the fire, started a celebratory dance.
Then froze as they watched Taikoho rise from the flames.
Taikoho let the fire do its thing. Burn things.
It burnt the wooden pole, the ropes they bound him with...
And then it burnt one of the goblins as Taikoho pulled a flaming stick out of the fire pit and jammed it into the closest goblin's eye.
It reeled back in pain before angrily waving its fists. It picked up a stone off the ground and raised its arm as if to throw it.
But its head rolled to the ground before it could make another move. Then, with a thump, it's body slumped to the ground beside it.
Taikoho slung something to the side. What appeared to be a bladed whip seemingly morphed into a sword.

Druaghir - Serpent's Whip Sword
Might: 243
Poisons opponent.
A blade segmented into sections that can be locked into one another, or ejected with the push of a switch on the blade's hilt. The blade segments are attached by thick cords of metal, allowing the sword to be used as a deadly whip. The blade, when extended, can be called back with another flick of the switch. The whip gives this sword superior range and ability, but requires a lot of skill to wield.

Taikoho rushed at the nearest goblin, slicing straight through its neck with the sharp edge of his blade before ejecting the blade segments and slinging it down at his side. The rest of the goblins, maybe twenty, circled around him.
One reared up behind him. It jumped, but in vain. Taikoho spun around and, with the flick of his wrist, sliced the goblin in half.
As it lay on the ground, blood spewing out its severed body, another goblin rushed up, sword in hand, ready to strike. Taikoho cracked his whip. It wrapped around the goblin's sword, the bladed segments embedding deep into the weak metal. He jerked his arm back, and the sword flew from the goblin's hand. He grabbed the sword as it came flying by.
A third goblin rushed him. He held up the new sword, blocking the attack. He stabbed the goblin with the sword before throwing it at the other goblin behind it.
Three goblins rushed at him, ready to strike. He whirled his whip blade through the air, and the three goblins dropped to the ground, dismembered.
"Ok, I'm tired of this." He thought to himself.
Taikoho brought his whip up and cracked it against the ground with a mighty swing. The ground shook. The rest of the goblins fell over, their bones shattered by the shockwave.
He looked around him. He didn't have to make sure they were dead. They couldn't have survived an attack as fierce as that. He just wanted to see what they had dropped.
Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his left shoulder.
He felt his shoulder. There was an arrow sticking out of it. He jerked the arrow out. A trickle of blood slowly seeped down his shoulder.
Taikoho turned around. Another goblin, wielding a bow, stood several feet behind him.
He ejected his whip blade and cracked it at the goblin, wrapping the tendrils around its bow. He then retracted the whip, bringing the bow and the goblin with it. As the goblin flew towards him he went out to meet it. As the goblin flew towards him, he grabbed the goblin out of his flight and slammed his head into the ground, falling forward with the impact to put more weight into the attack. The goblin ceased its wild flailing.

After the battle, Taikoho decided it would be best to go rest up with Akina.
He looked around. Realizing where he was, he decided to go South. He was in Noirwood Forest, a popular nesting grounds for goblins.
Eventually he cleared the forest and found his way home.
He opened the door and stepped inside. Akina was sitting in his bed, her back to the backrest. She gave him a weak smile.
He smiled back.
And that's when he noticed the blood dripping down the wall beside her.
