After leaving Cecelia I returned and glanced over the plan I'd concocted get Christine to sing at Phantasma and Cecelia to stay here. I studied it and knew I should finish getting all the details straight.
I marked out a plan on what I would show the little Gustave in the morning instead.
I sent notes to Raoul, Hemistein, and Christine. Telling of how I'd pay double to get Christine to sing. Raoul would be unable to refuse and Christine would have no choice. I had plenty of time to scrub the rest of the details.
For now I planned on showing Gustave everything. He would get to see everything Phantasma had to offer.
I made sure the next morning would be perfect.
--------------------------
I had Cecelia and Gustave led to me early in the morning and was surprised when Gustave began to play one of the pianos. The music was so similar to my own.
"What are you playing?" I inquired, curious how Cecelia had taught him so much.
"I'm playing the music in my head." He chirped.
I felt my heart seize in joy.
This boy was so similar to me. His music so similar to my own songs. I looked to Cecelia who was fondly listening to the boy and realized that I could not separate them. I wondered if I had the ability to keep him here as well.
For now I would love my Cecelia. I would enjoy what little I could get of her until she had to leave with Gustave. I could not ruin my love twice. I knew she loved the boy and I couldn't see any possibility of getting the boy away from Christine and Raoul.
I wrapped an arm around Cecelia and savored the moment with her in my arms and Gustave playing softly in the background.
