"Victoria," He smiles slightly as he puts his strong arm around my shoulders, his green eyes dance with worry.

The car ride home was filled with complete silence as tall city buildings became smaller and smaller. The heater was on full blast as the sky promised incoming snow, but I still felt cold. Mondays really do suck. I sat in the backseat as my rested on the window, soon I closed my eyes. Marco was upfront with Alessandro exchanging Italian words every now and then.

"Noland?" I raised my eyebrow. "Whats this?"

"What's what?" He question as he buckled up his pants, his blond hair ruffled and tousled. His blue eyes then landed on the small velvet box in my small pale hands.

"A ring," My heart dropped as he spoke. "I was thinking about proposing to Lacy, but I don't know. Mark, her ex, has suddenly made a reappearance. He's fuckin' crazy, so it might be a no-go.

"Marco," The deep voice woke me back up. "Grab her stuff, wait for me in the living room." I opened my eyes and saw the mansion in front of me. I smiled, the feeling of safety flooded my bones.

"You'll have to talk sometime," Alessandro spoke. His hand ran through his hair as he sat down on his office chair. I nodded but still faced my attention on his book cases. Not even two weeks into the job and I've already cried. Hell, I haven't even worked.

Minutes passed by slowly, his typing rang out through the room. He kept glancing towards me, checking up on me as if I'd run any second.

"Dio mio," Alessandro muttered and stood. Walking over to me and sitting on the couch right next to me, he spoke.

"Victoria," He sighed. "In your contract it specifically speaks of not building relationships or even talking to cops unless I'm present, or forced. Now," He ran a hand through his black hair once more. An unruly curl moved out of place. "Please tell me, what happened."

No tears came to my eyes, they must've dried up. Unexpectedly, a sense of trust came over my body, I sat up straighter and looked him dead in the eyes.

"I'll only tell on a promise," Alessandro just about rolled his eyes till I spoke once more. "Or you can forgot my business."

"Vic, I-"

"Promise me Alessandro, or I'm leaving."

(Alessandro P.O.V)

"Promise me Alessandro, or I'm leaving." It was a quick, meaningful statement that made my heart drop. For some reason, I didn't want to let this girl go.

Thinking back to her just recent call, I don't think she realizes what almost or could've happened...

"Yes, Resse!" I yelled through the cell phone, my fingers clutching the device. "I understand, I just saw him. Calm down and do not kill him... I don't care what he speaks of!" And I hung up. God... That boy. Just then my phone rings once more, I sigh and look to the caller ID.

"Si, Marco?" Marco starts babbling on about Victoria, cops, and how he got kicked in the nuts. I faintly smile at the last part.

"Cops?"

"Yes, ya' know, 'Boys in Blue'!" He spat through the phone. "One personally pulled Victoria out of class and she came back crying... Think she's working under-"

"No." I hang up and call the girl who has yet to leave my mind.

"Bella," I hope I don't sound too angry, Resse really did a number on me already and plus Marco? "Marco called."

"Oh?" Vic questions. Her voice seems shaky and a wave of panic sweeps through me."What'd he want?"

"I think you know..." Please don't play me my bella, not right now. "And the situation he explained said that cops were involved, and-"

She let out a sob. I stood and started to put on my jacket.

"Victoria?" I speak after a second. I can tell her breathing increases as I step out my office door, my body guards in close pursuit.

"Victoria?" Nothing. "Victoria?" Nothing. "Victoria?!" Why isn't she answering?

"Victoria! Catch your breath, I'm coming. Just stay on the line." I quickly speak and speed my way to the school.
