After a while I started to wonder what Emily was doing. Washing off her face couldn't take that long, and she doesn't wear makeup so it shouldn't take long. Just a quick rinse and done. I wanted to go check on her, but I didn't want to get in on her privacy and I didn't know where she went, except for to the bathroom, but we had approximately 10 of those around school.

When she finally came back she looked a bit better, but she was in pain. She was holding her left arm even harder than before and tried to hide it, but I noticed.

“You feel a bit better now?” I asked, started with baby steps.
“Uhh yeah, I do..” She said, but she lied. I could see it on her.

“Can I see your arms again?” I asked her, mostly because I knew what she had done.
“Why..? You saw them earlier..” She replied quietly, slightly angry.
“I'll just cut to the case then” I said. “Did you do it again while you were in the bathroom?”

She didn't say anything, she sat down on the bench in front of me and looked me in the eyes. Her eyes were dull, it was like looking at a living doll.
“So you did do it..” I said to her, hoping for an answer.
“Are you mad?” She asked. “You should be..”
“I'm not. I just want to know why” I replied, she looked down at her sleeves. She rolled them up again, it wasn't difficult to separate the old ones and the new ones. But the newest one had small drops of blood slowly making its way around her arm until it fell down on the bench. Those million daggers I felt became one huge sword..

“I'm not happy here..” She said to me, very quiet and quivering. I got up from the bench.
“Stay here and roll down your sleeves, if someone asks why you're crying just tell them it's because of a fight you had with someone and that it was private.” I told her and walked away. Emily looked at me confused when I walked down the corridor, she covered her arms when she saw her friend walking up to her.

“Hi Em.. Are you okay?” She asked, Emily looked down at the floor and tried to crack a tiny smile.
“Yeah.. I'm fine Ashley” Emily replied to her friend, who was called Ashley.
“Okay.. Just wanted to make sure. You seemed a bit down.” Ashley said and looked up at the ceiling. Emily looked up at her and sighed.
“I'm okay. I just need some time alone.” She said.
“Oh, Well I'll leave you be.” Ashley replied. “Tell me if something is wrong okay?”
“I will.” Emily said and fidgeted with her hands.
