2. Saved Him Twice

"Okay, class. We have a new student and I expect you to be nice to him." Mrs. Rose said and Blake's head snapped up to the front of the room. The new kid stood beside Mrs. Rose with a small smile on his face as he looked around the room.

"Yes, Mrs. Rose." the whole class said at once.

"Please introduce yourself." Mrs. Rose whispered to the male. He smiled at her and looked up, eyes meeting Blake's. He smiled wider and Blake's face turned red.

"My name's Ash. I'm a basketball Player." Ash said simply, not likeing the way the girls were looking at him with heart eyes. Mrs. Rose smiled and pat his back.

"You can take a seat beside Blake. That's the only open seat." Mrs. Rose said with a smile. Ash smiled and nodded before walking to his seat. Ash sat down and smiled at Blake. The younger smiled back before looking back at the spiral notebook and his Math book in front of him.

"Alright, class. Don't forget tonight's homework!" Mrs. Rose yelled while erasing the random math problems she had wrote on the board. Kids started running out of the room while Blake took his time in grabbing his books. He looked beside him and frowned, not seeing Ash.

"Maybe he wanted away or something.." Blake though to himself and decided to wait for everyone to leave before him.

After everyone left, besides the teacher, Blake stood and finally walked out of the classroom, heading toward his locker.

"Hello." a voice said on his right as he looked to his left down the hall. Blake jumped slightly and looked at the owner of the voice. "Sorry. I hadn't meant to scare you." Ash said. Blake shook his head with a small smile.

"It's fine." Blake said in a tiny voice. Honestly, Blake wasn't one for talking in a normal voice. He almost always talked in a small voice, making it hard for people to hear him.

Ash reached his hand out for a handshake and Blake smiled, putting his hand in Ash's.

"Oh my god! His hands are so soft compared to mine!" Ash thought and let go of the handshake before it lasted longer than intended. Not that he'd mind though.

"I'm Ash. I mean, I guess you already know that.." Ash said kinda awkwardly. Blake chuckled.

"My name's Blake. Blake Seas. Weird last name, I know." Blake said. Ash scoffed playfully.

"Come on. My last name's Moon. Yours isn't as weird as mine." Ash said. Blake looked at Ash kinda shocked.

"Moon?" Blake asked. Ash chuckled and nodded, putting his hands in his pockets as the two started walking to Blake's locker. "So, you don't mind if start calling you Moon as like a nickname?" Blake questioned and glanced at him. Ash shrugged.

"Not really. You'd be the first." Ash said. Blake smiled.

"Well, Moon, what's your next class, if you don't mind me asking?" Blake asked and stopped in front of his locker. Ash went silent as he looked around for his schedule. He looked at it and handed it to Blake. Blake looked at him and studied it.

"We have.. Almost all the same classes. The next two periods we don't, though." Blake said in his soft voice and handed Ash back his paper. Ash smiled and put the paper back in his backpack he'd been carrying the whole time. Blake shut his locker and the two headed off to class.

Blake walked from his English class and saw Alice, Kara, Greyson, and Matson waiting for him. Matson immediately grabbed his arm and slammed him against the locker, his books falling from his hold.

"Though hot guy was gonna save you again? I think not. He got called to the office not long ago." Alice said and grabbed his arms, digging her nails into his skin. He hissed and bit back his harsh comments. Alice let go only for Matson to punch him in the stomach. Blake fell to the ground with a groan.

"HEY!" a deep voice boomed through the halls. Blake looked over to see Ash pushing people away. "Can I help you?" he asked the four harshly. Alice giggled and poked her chest out. Blake groaned in disgust and looked at Ash's reaction. He didn't show his emotions though.

"Well, you could come with me.." Alice said and held her hand out with cheeky smile. Blake watched as Ash reached his hand out toward her. She smiled in victory but Ash smirked and immediately yanked his hand back and leaned down.

"Learn how to act like a lady." Ash said and looked at Blake as the younger looked at him with wide eyes. Ash smirked at Alice again before walking over to Blake, holding his hand out for the younger. Blake reached only to hiss in pain. Ash crouched down and grabbed Blake's arm, looking it over before seeing that Alice had actually left a bruise along with blood running down his arms. Blake quietly whimpered and Ash stood up, quickly turning to Alice. "Mr. Travis!!" Ash yelled as he saw the principal walking to a teacher's classroom. Alice looked frightened at that. Mr. Travis stopped and walked over to the scene, all the other students running off.

"What happened here?!" Mr. Travis yelled angrily.

"This young lady- wait.. She doesn't deserve to be called young lady.. This girl dug her nails into Blake's arm and I assume someone punched him in the stomach as he has been holding his stomach since I interrupted." Ash explained and Mr. Travis looked at Alice in anger.

"Office. Now." he said and Alice nodded, running off toward the office. Mr. Travis looked at Blake. "Did someone punch your stomach?"

"M-Matson.." Blake said in his tiny voice. Mr. Travis looked between the three standing beside him.

"Have all of them been bullying you?" Mr. Travis asked.

"K-Kara never touches me or says anything but she's friends with them. Greyson get physical too. Hardly ever but.." Blake explained softly. Mr. Travis nodded.

"All of three of you to my office. Now." Mr. Travis said and turned to Ash and Blake. "Ash, you get Blake to the nurse." Ash immediately nodded and leaned down to help Blake up. A hand landed on his shoulder and he looked up at the principal. "And thank you for intruding. If not, I don't think Blake would've lasted that long." Ash nodded with a frown. Mr. Travis walked away and Ash looked at Blake as the younger looked at him without any emotions showing.

"Come on. Let's get you to the nurse." Ash said and Blake finally smiled despite his condition.

"Thank you, Moon." Blake said and Ash smiled lightly before helping the younger up and grabbing his waist so he could stable himself. Ash carefully helped Blake to the office.
