Two days after Maki heard the news about Jake at the hospital. She went to McDonalds and write a letter for Jake. She was so shy to talk and confess about what she feels. After writing the letter she fold the letter and put it under the table make sure it won't fell. She planned to give it to him the next day. When she is about to cross the lane, a fast car hit her. She was left unconcious, she was rushed into the hospital and she died before they get into the emergency room.
The day after Jake read the letter from Mika, he run and search for her. He didn't know what section she belong so he keeps on asking students. One student was luckily her classmate.
"Yes, I'm her classmate. Why?"
"Where is she? Do you know where? Tell her I was looking for her" I said excitedly.
"Come again." the girl asked
"I said I was looking for her. Please tell me where she is"
"You don't know that..
she's dead. She died a month ago"
Jake was so surprised he can't utter a word.
"Whaaa-t?"
"Yes, it's true. She was hit by a car and died infront of the McDonalds stand nearby. Yesterday was her 40 days."
"Ok. T-thank yo-u"
His tear fell.
How come she's dead when I talk to her for a few days. This can't be happening. She's real I know she is.
Jake took his phone from his pocket. He look at their pictures taken at McDonalds. He was shocked when he saw no one with him at the pictures. He scrolled all the pictures, but seen none.
The day after, he went to her tomb. He bought sunflowers, her favorite flower. He also bring her protrait the one he draw on their third day of deal. He can't believe it, it seems so weird. One day she knew about this girl which happen to his long lost love way back then. Then one day he will found out, she's dead.
"Am I dreaming?"
Cool winds brushes through his body giving him chills.
"Is that you Maki?"
" I bring some flowers did you like it?"
"I'm so sorry. I wasn't able to tell you how I feel. Please forgive me for not recognizing you at first. I know your happy now. But why, why you leave me so soon.
Maki, I like you too. Not a single day I forgot about you. I didn't forgot about your sweet smile. The sweetest smile I've ever seen for my entire life.
I love you Maki, and you will always remain here in my heart."
