Sitting by a tree in the quart yard reading is my most favorite part about my day at Hogwarts. I love to read it is one of the things that keeps me calm I helps me escape from the real world where people judge you and don't see you for who you are.
"Hello" I heard a friendly voice from behind me. I turn around to see a girl a couple years younger than me standing there with a book instantly I knew she would be alright "hi" I said "you need a place to sit you can sit with me I don't mind" I say smiling "Okay" she said "you like to read?" She asked " Yah... its like a peaceful way to escape the world do you like to read?"
"Of course" she gasped "it is the best thing... ever" she giggled and looked at me " I... I never thought I would know a slytherin that loved to read" then she looked at me with a dark face "Oh I'm so so so sorry that was terribly rude I hope you forgive me" she looked at me and I looked at her if I say no and walk away like every other slytherin would I would be like them "I forgive you" I took her hand and said "what year are you in?" She smiled " Second you?"
"Forth"I said
"Really you get to go to the Yule Ball?" She asked
"Yah but I don't think I will go" I said "I'm quite a klutz and I'm am not what other slytherins would call a good date" I looked in the girls eyes they were kind eyes with love something I don't see that often in people's eyes " What is your name?" I said
"Lily Lily Evans... and yours" she put out her hand out for me to shake.
" Narcissa Black" I shook her hand "nice to meet you" we sat there and talked until we had our next class which happened to be the same class potions. We walked to the class together and the Lily asked " how can we have the same class together we are not in the same year?" I look at her and said " Oh you don't know there are some classes where the combine years for people more advanced people" she looked at me then said "so does that mean I am more advanced than you" I look at her with a serious look and then smile a little "no! We are in the same class you are just younger than me." We walked in the classroom we were pretty early but Lily did not seem to mind and I am always early so it worked out good. "Hello Professor Slughorn nice day right" I greeted him
"Yes Miss. Black wonderful and oh Miss. Evans what a surprise" he looked at us delighted.
"Professor we... I was wondering if Lily and I could be partners in class if that's alright with you of course" I said to Lily she grinned " I thought you'd never ask!"
"I could work with that" Slughorn said "would you girls mind helping me setting up for class"
"Of course" we both said at once Slughorn walked over to his desk and picked up a bottle "this... is a bottled potion I need two of these at each table" he said
" Sleeping drought" Lily whispered to herself, though both Slughorn and I heard.
"Yes that is correct you are to make a replica of the potion by just observing it". Slughorn said
"But how is that possible I mean we have only made it a couple of times and now you expect us to make it from scratch" I said astonished
"Yes well I will give to two class periods to finish it and no notes aloud but you can study the potion." Slughorn said
"Alright... I guess that will work do you need us to do anything else." I ask
"Nope you girls can talk at your table or whatever" he said
"Okay" said Lily
