She awoke to the her mother shaking her, and calling her name softly, and the alarm beeping before her mother shut it off. "Noro, it's Monday." She looked up at her mom, "Time for school." Noro's ears drooped, but she smiled despite her not wanting to go. She looked at her ceiling fan, as in the corner of her eye she caught the slightest movement.. Of the bluebird? She smiled up at it, and sat up. Mittens, her snooze disrupted by Noro's movement, sat up, stretched, and yawned. Noro pet her, and she accepted it for a minute, before she walked out the window to do whatever she did throughout the day. Noro's mother smiled, and started getting Noro ready for school.

Once she was dressed and brushed, she had a nice breakfast of pancakes, blueberries on top as a special treat. She gobbled them down in an instant, and got up when she finished. She gathered up her backpack, filled with her lunch and the folder for her homework throughout the week, and went to her mom. "Momma I'm ready to go." She tugged on her mother's sleeve, "Alright, let me get my shoes on and we'll walk today." Noro jumped up, "Yay!" She bounced up and down as her mother got her shoes on, and opened the door.

She liked walking with her mother to school, especially in warm weather. It was calming and allowed her to ready herself for school, she also got to joke around with her mom and spend time with her. They talked all the way there, and said their farewells when they arrived. She waited outside with all the other kids to go in, deciding to stand next to Terik. She watched as a kid went into the school with a parent. They were both cats, and from what Noro could tell, the kid had no emotion on their face, a lot unlike any little child around Noro's age. She couldn't seem to place their gender either. Were they older, and just smaller in size? Confused she asked Terik about it. He just shrugged in response. They giggled about it for some reason, they found it funny when they shrugged at each other. The teachers finally called the students in the school and they all flooded in and headed to their classrooms. Noro was usually the first, but Terik decided he would beat her. A new challenge.. She put her backpack in her cubby and sat in her seat, wondering what they were going to do today. Probably more boring stuff. She longed for another outdoor recess so she could play fight with Terik again, since they werent allowed indoors. Noro liked reading, and coloring. She enjoyed naptime, she somewhat bonded with the teacher. But the closest friend she had who wasn't Mittens was Terik. She guessed they were fairly close, for friends at least. He was the first person to talk to her when she came into class the first day, it was nearly the end of the year. She had already learned the alphabet, the song was catchy for her five year old brain. The teacher started class, a math activity. Luckily that was the most boring part of her day, good to get it out of the way. It was just flashcards of addition and some subtraction. She swished her tail a little as she answered what 1+1 was. Terik poked her and gave a thumbs down, as this was boring for him as well, she giggled silently. She stuck her tongue out at the laminated cards while the teacher's back was turned. Finally the activity finished and it was reading time. Today they had to read to a partner, obviously she picked Terik, she wanted to talk about what they would do at recess when they finished their books. She read her book choice to him, as best as a 5 year old could. Terik had a little more trouble, but Noro helped him through it. "So whaddya wanna do during recess?" She bounced happily, he looked at her for a moment, "Well I heard we're having outdoor recess today, so I was gonna hang out with some of the other birds. You wanna join?" She didn't expect that response, so she didn't know what to say. "No, I don't think I want to do that," she closed Terik's book and stacked it on hers. "I'll just lay under a tree or something." She put the books back on the shelf next to her as she heard the teacher call for cleanup. "Are you sure?" He stared with curiosity. "Mhm, I need a rest day anyways."

"But then you won't sleep during naptime, the teacher won't like that." He explained to her, she thought for a moment. "Then I'll just walk around, I like walking, and running." Terik smiled. "Okie!" They grabbed their lunch boxes and got into line with the rest of the class and went out to eat lunch before recess. She walked around in circles, wondering where she went wrong. Was Terik abandoning her? She'd have to wait a few days to find out. She sat and fiddled with the grass, wistling with a couple blades. Mittens came up to Noro and nibbled on her grass whistles, she giggled and pet them, and they purred in return. Mittens laid down and took a nap, bathing in the warm sunshine. Noro decided to cloud gaze, and find items or animals in cloud. She saw an elephant, a ring, a pair of wings, a bird, and lots of other things.
