After a few weeks in the hospital, I'm finally discharged and brought to the Monte Mansion. The grand estate feels both intimidating and welcoming, its opulence a stark contrast to my modest condo. The vast gardens, marble columns, and ornate decor are overwhelming at first, but there's an undeniable warmth here, a sense of home that I hadn't expected.

As I step inside, I'm greeted by some familiar faces: Lorah, Ivano, Kiwi, Vittoria, and Amara. Their warm smiles and heartfelt embraces make me feel at home. Kiwi purrs contentedly in my arms, and I find solace in the familiar weight of her against my chest.

Vittoria, her son, and Amara, both looking healthier and happier, share stories of their recovery and plans for the future. Lorah and Ivano, ever the supportive friends, keep the mood lively with their witty banter. It's a moment of peace and normalcy that I hadn't realized I needed so desperately.

Vittoria pulls me into a tight hug, her eyes sparkling with relief. "I'm so glad you're okay," she whispers, her voice thick with emotion. "We were all so worried."

"Thank you," I reply, feeling a lump form in my throat. "I'm just happy to be here with all of you."

Amara steps forward, her smile radiant. "And we're happy to have you back," she says, squeezing my hand. "You've been through so much, Jules. It's time for some happiness."

During the gathering, I notice Leone being called away by a housemaid. He follows her out of the room, and as the minutes tick by, I begin to worry. Excusing myself from Amara, I go in search of him. The mansion is vast, its corridors lined with family portraits and luxurious furnishings. The sounds of laughter and conversation fade as I climb the grand staircase, my heart pounding with anticipation.

I find Leone on the top floor, standing on the balcony, his posture tense as he stares out at the sprawling estate. The early evening light casts a golden glow over the landscape, but Leone's expression is clouded with worry.

"What's the matter?" I ask softly, stepping beside him and placing a hand on his arm.

Leone turns to me, his expression conflicted. "It's my papa," he says, his voice low. "He knows you're pregnant."

"Oh," I frown, my heart pounding with anxiety. "What did he say?"

Leone takes my hand, his grip firm and reassuring. "He says I have a choice to make."

My heart beats faster, fearing what comes next. "What choice?" I ask, my voice trembling.

Leone looks into my eyes, his gaze steady and filled with love. "He says I can either raise our child here, with the protection and support of the family, or in Chicago with you."

"Leone..." I begin, unsure of how to respond. The weight of his words hangs heavily between us, the implications profound.

He squeezes my hand, his eyes never leaving mine. "I choose you, Jules," he says with conviction. "I choose our family, wherever that may be."

Tears well up in my eyes, a mix of relief and overwhelming emotion. I lean in and kiss him, pouring all my love and gratitude into that one gesture. His arms wrap around me, holding me close as we share this intimate moment, the world around us fading away.

When we finally pull apart, Leone rests his forehead against mine. "We'll figure it out together," he murmurs. "Whether it's here or in Chicago, we'll make it work. We'll create a life for our child that's filled with love and security."

I nod, feeling a renewed sense of hope and determination. "Together," I agree. "We can do anything together."

Leone smiles, his eyes shining with the same resolve I feel. "Let's go back to the party," he suggests. "We have so much to celebrate."

Hand in hand, we return to the gathering. Our friends and family welcome us back with open arms, and the celebration continues, now even more meaningful with the promise of our future together. The laughter and joy that fill the room are infectious, lifting my spirits higher than they've been in a long time.

Later, as the night winds down and the guests begin to leave, Leone and I find a quiet moment alone. We sit on a bench in the garden, the soft glow of lanterns casting a warm light around us. Kiwi curls up on my lap, her purring a soothing background noise. The fragrance of blooming flowers mingles with the cool night air, creating a serene atmosphere.

Leone takes my hand again, his thumb tracing gentle circles on my skin. "I meant what I said earlier," he says quietly. "No matter where we are, as long as we're together, we'll be okay."

I lean my head on his shoulder, feeling content and secure. "I know," I reply softly. "And I'm ready for whatever comes next."

As we sit there, enveloped in the tranquility of the garden and the warmth of our love, I realize that this is just the beginning of our journey. We've faced so many challenges already, but with Leone by my side, I know we can overcome anything.

The future may be uncertain, but for now, I'm content to bask in this moment of peace and happiness. We have each other, and we have our child on the way. And that's more than enough to give me hope for the days to come.

Together, we'll navigate this new chapter of our lives, hand in hand, hearts intertwined. And no matter what challenges lie ahead, I know we'll face them with the same strength and love that has brought us this far.

As the stars twinkle above us and the evening air grows cooler, Leone wraps his arm around me, pulling me closer. "I love you, Jules," he whispers.

"I love you too, Leone," I reply, my heart full. "Always."

With those words, we sit in silence, content in each other's presence, ready to face whatever the future holds together.
