THIRD PERSON POV
"Ryuuji?" Rhiannon couldn't believe her eyes that he would be calling out to her, she was EXPECTING SOMEONE ELSE.
He went near her as he whispers: "I'll be your midnight partner for sure from Luke not me" with that, Rhiannon blushed though the people around them completely misunderstood them especially A CERTAIN PERSON.
"Shit! Why does my heart hurt so much right now?" Yuri was pulled out of her thoughts when she saw Ryuuji coming near and KISSING Rhiannon, or that's how she saw it in her angle
She wanted to walk away but Junicka, the girl who helped her once in P.E class grabbed her arm
"You can't leave, the fate dance is about to start" she simply informed not even realizing that Yuri really need to BREATHE and get her frustrations out, still she has no choice but to abide and listen to Rihanna who is now getting ready to speak.
"Everyone, gather around" Rihanna announced while using her telekinesis to send everyone signals to gather inside the ballroom and no one is exempted from it.
Alasia came back, as if she hadn't cried a bucket of tears minutes ago and everyone else did what was told for their minds were all being sent a mental message about how this year's FATE DANCE is going to work. Unlike the other years where the students will change partners as the music changes, this year is ENTIRELY DIFFERENT.
The mental message that Rihanna sent to everyone was the mechanics where all the students will form two lines, one for girls and the other for boys, respectively. Then, they will each go up the stage where a vending machine look alike which Rihanna referred as the FORTUNE TELLER OF LOVE is being put in the center and as they go near it, they just have to push a red button and a fortune cookie will come out and in each cookie has a quote about love also each quote only has two copies at most.
When everyone has got a cookie, the dancing will begin where they can dance whomever they like, but before midnight where the big ben clock tower will chime signalling it to be midnight, they have to be with the person they THINK has the same quote with them and the moment, its midnight thats the only time when they could get the chance to open the cookie therefore making point that if you're so called DESTINED to be with that person then you would find your ways to each other.
Ryuuji's POV
What the hell is with this year's FATE DANCE?! It's corny if you ask me, but at least, it was different from last year where we form a circle as we change partners and everytime I dance with any girl, they all squeal or faint as if they could die just from dancing with me. ANNOYING, really.
We're all forming a line and it's tiring to wait for my turn, but I don't have a choice for if anyone leaves or doesn't join, the host who they made sure to have supreme mind control is going to make you go back to your place, and even though I'm MORE powerful than the host, I still can't leave since the chairman is WATCHING us somewhere therefore the chairman would either call you to him or just let anyone tell you the news that you're expelled from the Academy.
Yes, it's like that here for if they're are events where the chairman is involved, being a KILL JOY or that's what humans call it, is not an option so against my will, I line up and wait for my turn.
Thankfully, it was my turn and when I got my fortune cookie, I put it inside my pocket as I go down the dancefloor and go to the corner of the ballroom for no way, am I going to dance or at least, ask someone to dance with, and its okay for the host which I forgot the name said that we can do whatever we want after getting our fortune, but we just had to make sure that by midnight, we're beside the person whom we THINK has the same quote on the cookie that we have so I' just going to stand here and wait for time to pass.
