I battled with insomnia all night. My body was screaming for sleep, my mind had different plans. I thought through every interaction I ever had with Hunter, trying to pinpoint when exactly I decided to be so stupid. The more I thought about it, the more pathetic I felt. We hadn't even had any meaningful interactions.
All in all, I was just another girl that fell deep into the rabbit hole.
It must've been around 5am or even later when I eventually drifted off to sleep. I slept through until 1pm.
Groggy as ever, I woke up to a dead silent house. Silently, I tip toed out of the room and into the bathroom. After, I went to see why no one was making noise.
I figured soon that Leia was still asleep, she got in around 3am, completely smashed I'm amusing. Hunter was also still asleep, but on the couch. I stood from afar watching him for a moment. It was less creepier than that sounded, I was just contemplating on whether to make breakfast for everyone or just go back to the bed.
"You've got to stop staring at me, Balmain."
"God, is your head big from all the brand names you store in there." I mumbled, looking away from him.
He stretched his arms out, a loud yawn followed after. Slowly, he sat upright.
"I've got a lot of Pokémon names in there too, that adds to the size."
"You like Pokémon?" I questioned, wondering if I even heard him right.
He look at me dead in the eyes, "No. I only like killing small animals and setting shit on fire. Occasionally, I get a kick out of abusing old people and telling children Santa isn't real."
I held back the urge to roll my eyes at his blatant sarcasm. "What do you want for breakfast?" I changed the subject.
"Nothing. I'm going to go out soon to find infants to eat."
Throwing my hands up in the air, I gave up in a huff. I could hear him yell out that he wanted pancakes but he lost his chance. I went back into the room and got into the bed. Before I knew it, I was out cold again.

"Chanel."
Keeping my eyes shut, I took an arm out from beside me and used it to push Hunter away.
"Chanel," he tried again, this time shaking me more violently.
"What?" I grumbled, not liking that he woke me up.
"We need to go. Get up now."
I held my eyes shut tighter, refusing to budge. "I don't want to go, you go."
I felt him standing up and heard footsteps walking away, "Either you get up or I leave you here."
I juggled the options in my head for a moment. Curiosity won the argument. I slowly opened my eyes and reached out for my phone. It was a bit odd to me that only an hour had passed, when it felt like I went back to sleep for a much longer time.
I got out of bed and quickly fixed up the blanket neatly. I went out to find Hunter and have him explain the urgent need to wake me up. Hunter was crouched over the kitchen counter writing a note, by the looks of it.
"What's up?" I asked, still a bit muzzy from the nap.
"Grab your shit, we need to leave." He said, continuing to scribble down words on the paper.
"Why?"
He stopped writing and turned his neck up to look at me, an expression of impatience covering his face. "I'll answer your fucking what, whys, when's, where's and who's in the car. Just hurry up."

RomanceI heard a chuckle come from Hunter. "Do you want to know what I think?" He said. "No, not really." "I think you and I are not as different as you think we are. I think you're also a bitter child with a superiority complex." "No," I spoke firmly, "T...
