After I drop the box this girl picks it up and blushes at me. " I'm Blaine. What's your name kind stranger?" I work up a lot of courage to say that being as shy as I am.

"The name's Andi. Welcome to this hell hole." Andi laughs and flashes beautiful white teeth. I know I'm staring but I can't help it. She asks where my apartment is at and I point to room 301 A and she smiles and tells me her apartment is right across the hall and that if I need anything I should stop by. I nod and smile at her. Man she really is pretty. I couldn't believe I just met a gorgeous girl my first day. I reach down to grab a book that fell out of a box and end up grabbing her hand that got there first.

"Oh...um..I-I'm s-sorry." I'm blushing. I feel the heat spreading across my face. I look down and Andi tilts my face up. She flashes her beautiful smile.

"Hey it's no biggie. Don't worry" She reaches down to grab my hand and my mom walks into the building.

"Hey Blaine..? Oh.. what are you doing?" Andi drops my hand and waves.

"Hi I was just helping Blaine with some heavy boxes. I'm Andi. You must be her lovely mother." Andi puts her hand out to shake my mom's hand.

"Blaine go into the apartment. Now." That was all she said but I saw the true meaning. I was going to get yelled at for holding hands with the same sex. I mumble a thank you to Andi and walk to the apartment. As I walk, I can hear my mom talking to Andi with the most bitter edge.

An hour later, Mom came into the apartment and began to scream at me. I was so numbed and used to it, I barely heard a thing. "God DOES NOT APPROVE OF THIS BLAINE!"

"what if he does? I wouldn't be this way without God Angela." As soon as I said it I regretted it. The look in her eyes was wild now and she touched her cross necklace. She walked over to me slowly and struck me across the face.

"Go to your room. I don't even want to look at you." Instead of going to my room I ran out of the apartment and went straight to Andi's. I knocked wildly.

"Hello? Who is it? Oh Blaine what is...." I collapsed into her arms crying. I know we had just met, but I seriously needed a friend. She slowly tilted my face up with her finger under my chin. "What happened to your face B? Did she hit you?" I nodded and kept sobbing. She picked me up and carried me into her living room and sat me on the couch, then proceeded to lock her door. "I'll make you some coffee...OK?"

"T-that'd be g-great" I grab a blanket off the couch and curl myself into it. Andi comes over with my coffee. I sipped it slowly. She sat down and touched my cheek so softly her fingers felt like cotton. I leaned into her caress and looked into her eyes. Andi slowly leaned forward and I met her halfway in a quick kiss that progressed into something passion filled. I had never in my life kissed someone with so much passion but so much tenderness too.

That night I stayed over. I woke up with her arms around me. A giant smile pulled at my lips. I know it wasn't logical to be with someone I just met, but it felt so right.

Over the next few weeks we got closer. Not just physically but emotionally and mentally. She became my best friend and my lover too. Andi was the first person that truly understood me and I truly understood her. Our song for each other was No One by Alicia Keys. We fell for each other and hard. I can 100% say I love this girl.
