My name is Hana Watson. I had never dreamed or even thought about becoming and agent. Growing up I was the bad kid. I robbed, I stole, killed and got away with third degree murder. I was a part of four gangs and worked alone. My dad was a boxer, my brother an outlaw, my mother I never knew.
My uncle, however was a police officer. I always got into trouble. I was sixteen when I was thrown behind bars. My uncle broke me out. He changed my life forever. Both in a positive and negative way.
My uncle wasn't the kindest of people when it came to dealing with kids like me. However, he treated me different. He would always ask, "What's bothering you." Or "What's wrong with you? Why hurt people like this?" He asked.
I hardy every answered or even spoke. My uncle was always the one to look out for me. He hardly got upset at me. A couple years passed and he took me in away from my family. I hated him for that. Then I turned on the news one day, only to find out he had done so to save my life.
I asked him one night, "Why did you do that? I'm not a good a person! I haven't been kind to you since the day you brought me here. Why did you do that?" I asked. He stopped what he was doing and asked me to take a seat on the couch. "That's what I do. It's my job to look out for you. It's true you're not a good person, but your still family. As an officer and as your uncle it's my job to do what's right and to protect you." He said hugging me. I cried into his shoulder and hugged him back.
I turned eighteen and my uncle trained me how to fight better. He pushed me to my limit and never gave up on me. I didn't join him though. One night there was a phone call. I was sitting on my bed and my uncle was working the night shift. The first thing that crossed my mind was, "Who would be calling at this hour?" I picked up the phone. A voice on the other end said, "Hanna Watson. This is agent Nate.I was wondering if you would be interested in joining our organization." He said in a none threating tone.
I was fascinated. "What do I get out of it if I do join?" I asked softly in a harsh tone. He answered back, "It's a deal of a lifetime. I can tell you this Hailey. You don't join your uncle will be hurt." With those words I felt my heart jump out of its chest.
"You touch him and I'll kill you!!!" I said raising my voice into the phone. Nate chuckled. I was shacking now. "I'll join!! Leave him alone!!" I said aggressively into the phone. Nate stopped laughing and spoke, "Meet us at the police station." He then hung up. My heart was pounding. I didn't know what to think or do.
I put on my shoes and went down into the basement. I took the two swords from the wall. My uncle called them demon swords because of the odd form they took. I held onto them and ran upstairs. I opened the front door and ran the two blocks to the police station. I ran with tears falling from my eyes. "Please don't be dead!!" I yelled as I ran.
I kicked open the door and found my uncle tied up. I saw fear in his eyes. He was trying to tell me something. Just then a man grabbed me from behind. I took the sword and scarped the right side of his face. "That must be Nate." I thought. He held the side of his face. Just then two other men came at me. One shot me in the leg and I fell screaming in agony.
My uncle now struggled to get loose. I hit the one guy when another gun shot went off. I looked at me and noticed Nate didn't shoot me. I looked back and saw my uncle, dead. I felt a pain in my chest and I screamed but didn't hear anything. I kicked and stood up but fell again. I crawled when I felt a stab go into my back. I blacked out just as I had grasped my uncles hand.
I awoke in a small room. I was now a part of Nate's team. The memory that haunts me still is my uncles surprised expression and him trying to get to me. You know the rest.
