Rose
Despite being completely loved, adored, and looked up too she felt alone. She felt as if no one really understood her or who she truly was. Maybe it was because she hardly saw her parents or maybe it was because no one really ever liked anything but her appearance. She could walk away in the middle of the night, hop on her bike, and get too the next town over easily. If she stayed there no one would notice unless she missed church. Maybe that's why she felt alone. Then everything changed when she met Cole.
She slipped out one night wanting the exhilaration of running away, of breaking the rules. She hardly ever broke them so it fun to toe the line. Cole on the other hand was completely past all her bounds. All her rules, everything that her parents told her not to do were Cole. Don't meet strangers at night, don't kiss boys (she hadn't done that yet but she planned on it), don't drink, don't smoke, don't go to clubs. These were a few of the main rules and she never even dreamed of breaking them until now.
A million thoughts spun through her head and she rode her bike towards where she would find him. She only ever met him once but she knew he would be in the same place. Leaning against the wall of a 24-hour diner, head down, with a cigarette in hand. His black hair was messy and fell almost to his eyes in dark curls. The muscles, the sharp jaw, and the rugged bad boy clothes weren't what drew her in. It was his eyes. They were a beautiful blue grey, almost like mine except stormier, filled with more pain.
As she neared him he looked up, his perfect hair framing his perfect face.
"You came" he said with no emotion.
"Of course, I said I would be here so I came" she retorted, disappointed at his lack of excitement. She'd even worn clothes that the nuns would have fainted at the sight of.
"Always such a good girl" he then gave her a look, a long look taking in what she was wearing.
She smiled a bit, she finally got the reaction she craved. Despite her slight discomfort in the small tight clothes she knew it was worth it. Maybe she'll break another rule tonight.
Cole
Cole knew that Emma was going to try to find him tonight so he didn't make himself hard too find. He slowly walked down the poorly lit side walk to the diner where they met. He lit a cigarette and put it to his lips. He stood there, back against the wall waiting for her.
Finally her heard her squeaky bike but he didn't look up, giving her the satisfaction of his attention. Obviously she wanted the attention and obviously he'd make her wait for it.
After a quick exchange of words he finally looked her up and down. She wore a pink crop top, a short black velvet skirt, a choker, and boots. Her hair was tied up in a messy bun. This wardrobe was drastically different from the good girl look she sported on the day they met. She wore a long blue skirt, a white blouse shirt, and her hair had been all flowy; she looked like a princess.
Not tonight though, tonight she looked like some one Cole would drink with, someone he would be friends with. He felt a little bad leading her on. He had no intention of taking this relationship anywhere but he was alone, bored, and honestly had nothing better to do.
"Lets go" he says, grabbing her wrist "I know of place to go, also leave the bike".
She bit her lip in anticipation and let him lead her into the dark night.
