Luna's POV
You never really appreciate your life until its at stake, I mean I always hated being alive but right at that moment when a Cyclops was staring me down and my boyfriend was yelling for me to hurry I was pretty thankful for my life no matter how pitiful it was. I never really knew why Perry thought it was a good idea to split up him with his random out burst of magic, and my sudden black outs if we split up we would be defenceless. But love is blind and I trusted him with my life so when he skidded to a stop his black hair shining with sweat and panted "Luna let's split up... to confuse him.. " I only nodded in agreement. Perry went to kiss me goodbye but I ran off calling behind me "Be careful and I love you !!" And then I heard his soft footsteps speed east as I headed west. After what seemed like a million years a familiar blue glow appeared next to me, the nymph that had been guiding Perry and I to this so called safe haven for people like me and Perry, people who saw things other people didn't, people who could see ghosts or heal animals with just a touch, people who didn't belong. At that moment my mind wasn't on if Perry was alive or not because the idea that he was dead was unthinkable to me, on my mind the moment I heard that stupid Cyclops roar behind me was "I better not be sick!!" I had thought tilting slightly from lightheadedness, and wiping my hot brow from running for hours and my fever. So that was why I screamed when I turned and saw a limp body in the Cyclops giant hand, because Perry couldn't be dead. Anger and sadness took over me as I screamed again but this scream was mixed with a sorrowful Sob, I slid my small, poisoned black dagger out of my combat boot and for once hit my target perfectly. My dagger plunged deep into the Cyclops heart as it roared in pain as my deadly poison replaced the Cyclops blood and the giant fell to the ground with a earthquaking thump, and the body rolled towards me. Perry's cold lightless blue eyes stared at me through half shut eyelids, and his black hair stuck to his forehead in sweaty clumps, and well me I was broken. My world shattered and a piercing spreading pain erupted in my heart spreading to my ribs making it hard to breathe. Perry and I had been inseparable since we were eight and had lived in the same foster home, had faced the same abuse. After that we made sure we stayed close and after a few years we fell in love. He had seen me at my very worst and knew everything thing about me just like I knew everything about him, but here he lay dead. "NO PLEASE WAKE UP!! " I screamed hugging his cold body and kissing his lips hoping he would come back to me. The pain and stress had blocked out the spreading darkness that filled my vision and the oncoming figure of a small blonde girl. "Hey are you OK ?" She asked just as I croaked out "Dead, my Perry's dead. " And blacked out.
