To say I was mad was an under statement. I get back from the bakery, where I have worked for just over 2 months to walk into my room to find 3 suitcases, 2 sitting at the end of my bed and one open on top. My mother was getting the rest of my clothes from my draws and cupboard and putting them in the last suitcase. I didn't even know what was happening. My mother turned around from facing the cupboard and with shock in her eyes as she looked at me.

"I thought you were coming home later" she said.

"I was let off early. Mum, what the hell is happening?" I said completely confused.

"You're moving in with your father" she said as she put a few of my shirts in the suitcase.

"Why?!" I exclaimed throwing my bag on the floor

"I can't afford to look after you anymore and your father has offered to have you until you finish school" she replied.

"Mum! Just stop packing! I'm not moving and you know it! If we need money I can get another job, it's not like I haven't had 3 jobs before." I said biting back the tears threatening to spill from my eyes.

"It's not fair for you to have to do this just so we can survive. You are going to live with your father and that's final. You are not living here anymore!" She argued backed.

My mother and I never fought, we were as close as a mother and daughter could get, I just don't see why she was doing this to me now. I haven't even seen my father in 3 years.

"Your flight leaves tomorrow at 10am, so pack as much as you can and I'll send the rest later. Fiji is also going with you. Goodnight." She placed and hand on my shoulder and walked out of my room.

I stood there still, my mouth slightly open not sure what just happened. I gulped as a tear slid down my cheek. I don't understand why this was happening but I did as she said and packed the rest of my stuff in silence. It was soon 1am, so I set my alarm and I decided to attempt to sleep.

...

It was 7am when my alarm went off but I was quick to hit snooze. I didn't sleep much last night as there were too many thoughts going through my head. I got out of bed and went straight to the bathroom to shower.

After showering I got dressed in some leggings and a grey crewneck sweater along with my glasses. I put my messy hair into a bun and took all my suitcases to the front door. Fiji came running up to me, wagging his tail.

"Hey boy" I said crouching down to pat him. "Let's get you some food"

I walked into the kitchen and put some food in his bowl. I gathered all of his toys and put them in on of my suitcases.

There was a knock and as I opened it my best friend Brooke tackled me with a hug. I automatically started crying. She's been my best friend since I was 7. She helped me pack a few more things to my carry on and we said goodbye to each other.

It was now 9:24 and I had to start on my way to the airport soon. Fiji was in the backseat as I was planning to get a cage for him at the airport. My mum got in the car and we started in our quick trip to the airport.

...
It was time to board the plane and I turned to my mum and hugged her. Even though I am not happy with her I will still miss he like crazy. We both cried as we said our goodbyes and I walked on to the plane.

I found my seat and took out my head phones and put on my favourite playlist for the 4 hour trip.
