In the morning Harry woke up, still on Draco's chest, "good morning," the blonde said with a smile, "we should probably get dressed and get this handcuff off," Harry said, trying to hide his pink cheeks. The boys dressed quietly, as to not wake the other Gryffindors, then made their way to Dumbledores office. "Ah, good morning boys, I hope you have had a good night sleep, I heard the house elves have made too much apricot jam would one of you like a jar, it is my favourite" Dumbledore said peering at the pair, who were still holding hands from the walk over, the taller boy quickly dropped Harry's hand and became very interested in the seemingly sleeping portraits on the wall. "Well as promised," Dumbledore waved his wand and the silver light binding them faded away. An uncomfortable silence fell upon the room, "well I should probably go and get breakfast," the Slytherin said backing out of the room, "yeah me too, good morning professor," the Gryffindor nodded following Draco. "Draco, wait up!" Harry called after the Slytherin, "what is it, Potter?" Draco spat, "Uhm well I was just wondering if we could still be friends? It's a stupid idea really," Draco turned from the green-eyed boy and continued to the dining hall.
Harry shared transfiguration with the Slytherins, "I'm just glad you don't have that git with you anymore," Ron beamed, "yeh, I'm glad to be rid of him," mumbled Harry. Hermione followed the green-eyed boy's gaze to Draco, who was talking with Blaze. "Just go and talk to him," urged Blaze, "I can't Blaze," the blonde boy snapped, "tell him to meet you then." Draco strode over to Harry, catching him off guard, "at midnight tonight meet me outside the Slytherin common room, come alone," Draco stated in a cool tone before turning and returning to his friend. "What the bloody hell was that about?" Ron scowled.
After dinner, the trio headed up to the common room, "you aren't actually going to meet him, Harry!" roared Ron, "Ron its Harry's decision whether or not he goes to meet Malfoy," Hermione stated, "I'm going to bed," the ginger growled. Harry later said goodnight to Hermione who offered to stay up with him "no I'm fine, Dra- Malfoy said to come alone anyway." At 11:50 Harry grabbed his father's invisibility cloak and headed down to the dungeon.
"You actually turned up," greeted Draco who was waiting by a mossy stone wall, "yeah, you asked for me to come, anyway what was it you wanted to talk about Draco?" asked Harry, "If it is about my offer for us to still be friends then I'm sorry and we can go back to hating eacho-" Draco grabbed Harry's wrists and pinned him to the wall, "what do you think of me?" the taller boy breathed, "w- what?" Harry stuttered, "I said what do you think of me," Draco repeated in a cool voice, "well um I think that you are my f-friend," Draco could feel Harry shaking.
Harrys mind was racing, what was he supposed to say? Was this some sort of test? But before the raven-haired boy could come to a conclusion Draco continued "shall I tell you what I think of you, Harry?" there was a hunger in Draco's eyes as he closed them, leaning in. Before Harry could think their lips met in a pleasant greeting, their tongues danced. But as fast as it began it was over, "well, good night Harry," Harry simply stood in bewilderment. He stood there for a minute or two before throwing on his cloak and returning to Gryffindor tower. As he did so he thought of the day gone by, trying to remember the details. Try as he might Harry couldn't remember what lessons he had today, he knew he had transfiguration but... what did he do in that lesson? "Harry? Harry?" Ron's voice shot through the dungeons. That was when it dawned on him... it was all a dream
