(I probably won't finish this story sorry)

---------------------

Harry awoke to find his bed missing a blonde Slytherin, "where is Draco?" croaked Harry, his head still spinning from the dream, "dunno, why do you care anyway?" Ron questioned with the same disdainful tone he always had when mentioning  Draco related topics, "anyway, we will miss breakfast if you don't hurry up!" Harry crawled out of his plush bed and got dressed. They hurried down to the great hall where they found Hermione buried in a book, Harry immediately looked to the Slytherin table to see if Draco was there, "I haven't seen him, Harry," Hermione said, not looking up from her book. "W- what, I didn't even say anything," Harry said, embarrassed about how easy he is to read, "didn't you mention you need to go and see Dumbledore?" said Ron with a mouth full of toast. Grabbing some toast for himself, Harry ran out of the chattering hall and up to the headmaster's office.

"Morning Potter," Draco said casually, it was clear he had been waiting by the gargoyle for a while. "Cockroach clusters," they walked up the cold, stone steps "I didn't do anything to the cuffs, by the way. We woke up earlier yesterday so the 24 hours ended before you woke up", Harry quietly nodded, he was confused about why the blonde boy had a warmer tone to him than usual. "Ah hello boys, by the looks on your faces, I think it is safe to say that you have both learned your lesson, now run along and have some breakfast," Dumbledore chimed.

Harry and Draco walked together silently back to the great hall, their echoing footsteps loudly ringing down the corridors. "Will you be staying at Hogwarts this holiday?" Draco said almost to himself, "uuh... no, I'm probably going to stay at Ron's house, why do you ask?" "no reason I was just thinking..." Draco trailed off "you exited for the tri-wizard tournament?" the spectacled boy asked, trying to break the awkward silence "I guess... It's not like we can compete in it, although it will be nice to have Durmstrang and Beauxbatons visit, a change of pace I mean.." after what felt like an eternity the boys reached the great hall.
