Haley's P.O.V.

It has been a few weeks since Sebastian tried to start a rebellion with the students. Things seemed to be getting back to normal. The students treated Adam, Bree, and Chase with the same respect as before and completed all of their training exercises. If another student tries to start another rebellion, I might kill them.

I was sitting with Adam and Bree in the cafeteria as Chase passed out these new protein bars that Davenport made for the students. As you can imagine, they are pretty gross. I was getting down another gulp of water to wash down the protein bar when Chase walked over to Bob, who groaned, "Ugh! Again?"

Chase looked offended as he said, "Yes, again. Would you like to complain more about the free food, Bob?"

"Chill out, Super Boring." I told him, "It's just a protein bar."

He gave me a look before continuing to Bob, "Mr. Davenport made them to maximize our workouts. They have everything the body needs."

"Yeah, to make it puke." Spin said when he walked up, "I'm going to hold out until the three o'clock peanuts."

Have I ever said that I really like Spin?

Spin placed his bar back in Chase's basket and walked away. Adam, who was about to start eating his protein bar, said to us, "Luckily for me, I'm bionic so I don't have a gag reflex."

Bree, Chase and I just gave him weird looks as Bree told him, "We're all bionic, and yes, you do."

Adam just shoved the whole protein bar in his mouth and said with a mouthful of food, "No, I don't!" Then, he proceeded to choke on his protein bar, and we all gave him looks of disgust as he spit it out on the ground. Once it was all out of his mouth, he looked at us disgusted and said, "Yes, I do."

As Adam tried to drink some water to get the nasty taste out of his mouth, Leo walked into the cafeterias with a taped box in his arms. As soon as he placed it on the table, Spin ran over and asked, "Ooh, what is that?"

"Oh, this? It's just a little care package that my mom sent out for all of us." Leo said, but then turned the box around so he could read the label, "Oh, wait. Nope, it's just for me."

Spin just shook his head annoyed and started to walk away, but stopped when we heard a noise that sounded like a large fart. We all turned our heads in the direction of the noise, but it was just Bob putting ketchup on his protein bar... wait, why in the world was he doing that?

When he saw the disgusted and confused looks on all of our faces, he explained to us, "Oh, it's easier for me to swallow if I pretend it's a hamburger, which is tough because I don't even know what a hamburger is."

Mine and Bree's eyes widened in shock as we watched Bob take a bite of his protein bar. The two of us stood up and walked over to him. When we got to him, I asked him, "Wait, are you being serious? You've never had a hamburger before?"

"That's so sad!" Bree agreed with me.

Bob just shrugged and said to her, "Want to cheer me up by giving me a hug?"

The two of us just continued to stare for a moment before Bree said again, "That's so sad."

Then, I grabbed Bree's arm and pulled her away from Bob. I pushed Chase and Adam over to the side and said to the three of them, "Guys, none of this kids have any social skills or experiences from the outside world because they have been isolated. They have no idea what the real world is like."

"She's right." Bree agreed with me, "They have no idea how to be normal."

Suddenly, Leo stood up and said, "Ah, yes. I remember your first days out of the lab. So young, so naive. You needed a strong hand to guide you."
