"We can deal with the cars later," Jett finished radioing.

"I'm... somewhat stuck," Miguel said. Matthew looked in the rearview mirror and realized Miguel was in the middle, with two passed out personifications on either side of him. Matthew rolled his eyes.

"I'll grab Fabio, then you can get out and get Al."

"How did you end up in the middle? Fabio sat back down before anyone else did."

Matthew missed most of Miguel's answer, the sounds of Matthew's door opening and closing (along with many other personifications getting out of their cars) pretty effectively drowned him out. He opened Fabio's door in time to hear "avoid having someone sleep on my shoulder when possible," which Matthew figured answered the question well enough anyways.

Miguel handed him Fabio's unbuckled seatbelt. "Thanks," Matthew muttered, then picked Fabio up bridal-style.

A few people had already filtered into the house by this time, Matthew noticed, while a few others had begun taking luggage out of the trunks. Arjun was one of the ones taking out the luggage, and Matthew purposely passed him on the way to the house.

"I'm gonna set Fabio down inside, and then I can come out and help with the luggage," he offered as he passed.

Arjun opened his mouth to respond, but Arthur, who was nearby with a suitcase, quickly replied with "No need, lad, we'll be able to handle it quickly enough."

Matthew shrugged, causing Fabio to shift position in a way that made him slightly more difficult to carry. "Alright," he said, stepping out of the way to readjust as Arthur joined Arjun in grabbing the luggage from the trunk.

"Ludwig grabbed the rest of the luggage from the car we were in," Arthur explained as he grabbed out a few bags. "So I figured I might as well grab some extras from another car."

"Ah, well thank you," Arjun replied.

One hefty bounce finally got Fabio back into a comfortable position, and Matthew headed off to the safe house, passing by Miguel — now carrying Alfred — on his way.

"Should we take them to a room?" Miguel asked. "Or just set them on a couch and call it a day. Personally, I'm tired."

"You should just put him on a couch," Arthur, standing right next to him with his pile of luggage, said. "That's what he gets for passing out."

"Arthur," Matthew scolded in a light-hearted tone. "He couldn't control it."

Arthur huffed. "He can still at least get himself to a bed once he wakes up."

Matthew huffed lightly and started heading to the safe house again.

He heard someone close the trunk of the car, followed a few seconds later by Arjun asking "These cars are bulletproof, correct?"

"Yeah," Matthew replied over his shoulder. He knew for a fact that Alfred only used bulletproof cars.

"They're still pretty beaten up, though, aren't they?" Miguel said.

"They really are," Arthur agreed. "Stupid Americans."

The next thing Matthew heard was an "oof!" followed by the sound of several things falling. When he turned around, both Arthur and Alfred were on the ground, Miguel appeared to be in shock, and Arjun was in the process of doubling over laughing.

"Bloody hell!" Arthur mumbled disoriented, nearly drowned out by Arjun's laughter. Arthur sat up unsteadily and rubbed his jaw. Alfred, on the other hand, rolled onto his side and peered up at Miguel.
