Doctor Who: Beginning

Chapter 7

"Listen I don't think this is a good time to say this but when a servant was un-dressing you she found this in your pocket" Kat said getting the sonic screwdriver out.

"What is it?"

How am I to tell her what a sonic screwdriver is when she dosen't even know whats a TV yet? I hesitated. scratching my head.

"Its just a thing I found some were" I mumbled. My lieing needed practise.

"Oh really then why does it do this?" Asked Kat clicking the button on it, the chamber lit up in a dim blue glow.

"Well...."

"I'm not stupid if that's what you think" She snapped frowning.

"Listen you wont believe me, but its from beyond the sky" I said trying my best to make it simple.

"Space? There's no gravity, no air, you cant of got it from space" I was surprised that she knew all this.

"What I mean is I got it from a planet. Listen I'm from out there" I said pointing upwards. Kat's eye's narrowed.

"You really think I believe you! Until I have proof of your 'spaceship' I'm going to think your just mocking me! You can have your device!" She snapped sounding hurt and slammed the sonic screwdriver into my hands.

"And wait your name cant be John Smith then! Cause aliens properly have different names!"

"I'm the Doctor, just Doctor" I sighed.

"What a stupid name!" Snapped Kat walking ahead.

Then came a horrid scream, of a human, so terrible.

"I thought that thing was asleep" Gasped Kat. Staring back.

" It still is, but there's more out there or some thing else, and were going to find out!" I started running, Kat following behind. I had no idea where I was going but was guided by several more horrifying screams. We finally came to a dark room. I heard Micheal but nothing else, I ran inside.

"Oh no" I said.

"What?" Kat asked staring.

"No, no no"

"Come on tell me!"

"Weeping Angel" I breathed. There was four weeping angels in a circle a empty space in the middle where Micheal had been.

" What ever you do don't blink"

"Why"

" Just keep on staring."

Kat stared on confusing on her face.  We waited for a while. Then had a idea.

" Kat I need you to stare at theses weeping angel's and never blink, I have a idea. I need to go to the bottom of the mine, get the right frequency of my sonic screwdriver you found in my pocket and collapse the mine."

"But if you collapse the mine wont I die?" She gasped.

"Well no if you close your eyes when you hear the explosion."

" And you?"

" There's always another exit is there?" I laughed. And then left Kat on her own. I used the sonic screwdriver to navigate to the bottom of the mine. It was so easy to use. I quickened my pace,Kat would be waiting for a long time. I started running. And stopped the screwdriver stopped beeping, I was here.

I saw on my left another passage way, an exit hopefully. I started setting up the sonic screwdriver. It was a big risk, but a risk I had to take.

I pressed the switch as it went into ultra-sonic. I ran for my life in the small passage way. I heard slate tumbling behind me. I then banged into a dead end, a dead end, dead.
