Kat's POV

My whole body ached and was stiff with horrible pain. My eyes felt sticky and gluey. I couldn't seem to open them. The air was stale and rotten. I tried my best to move about.

"Kat?" Came a voice I thought I knew. I groaned to tired to speak. I forced my self to open my eyes trying harder and harder almost exhausted from effort. Then light flooded in and my eye lids slowly slid open. I saw a grubby  ceiling and heaved myself to sit up. I felt extremely tired and where was The Doctor? I turned around and saw Micheal, Micheal?!

"Where's the Doctor?" I asked breathing faster then usual.

"He went, he went to find an stop this city the living dead"

"What!" I said jumping of the stiff table I was sitting on.

"Wait! Where your going? Your un-well" He cried running in front of me, blocking my path. I sighed and stepped back knowing all to well I wasen't un-well.

"I need to find him!"

"You cant, I wont let you" I raised my eye brown.

" Why wont you let me?" I demanded.

"He left hours ago" Came the dreadful reply. Hours? That seemed so long ago. Maybe something happened.

"He put you here and said me to look after you then left, Kat if he went alone then that means he can can do it alone" He said. I knew the sentence was not true and sat down. There was a cold silence.

"He left you here to look after me, I haven't known him long but I don't think being missing for hours is that good, something happened"

There was another silence and I heard hard rain patting the window, the weather seemed not so different three hundred years later.

"I agree" Micheal sighed giving in. I slid of the table and went to the door turning round to Micheal.

"You coming, or not?"

"What do you think?" He said sarcastically running after me. I shuddered as the cold rain hit me. It seemed so miserable. I turned and saw Micheal beside me blinking the rain out. The rain seemed to bang against me full-force.

No one seemed about in weather like this. All huddled up indoors? I felt sorry for myself what was I doing a century's earlier with no home to come to. I wrapped myself in my arms and forced myself through the wind. A fog had came and it was hard to see. Where was the Doctor? Its like he disappeared into nowhere.

I stopped defeated getting soaked to the skin. I felt Micheal stop in front of me, he looked at me.

"Are you all right?" He asked, barley a whisper through the wind.

"I give up where could he be? There's no point! Its impossible to know where" I burst out tired.

"Come on he cant of disappeared. Didn't he tell you where you were going before you collapsed"

I though hard it seemed all hazy. Really hazy like It neither happened. I struggled on to think. The rain hitting my face didn't help. Then something came, dead, one word a horrible word. No that had to be not true. Dead can seem so many things but always bad things. Dead! It means to many things.

"Kat do you remember?" I carried on forcing myself to think. Its like that moment was locked away in my brain and I couldn't get it. Why had I forgot? Its strange almost scary to forget a random thing like that.

"I don't know" I sighed close to tears.

"I just forgot" Micheal frowned in thought. I gave him an innocent but sad look. I was interrupted by a sound, a crumbly sound. I froze going stiff in fright. It came from behind the corner, Micheal gave me a scared look. The rain pelted harder, I slowly walked forwards to see what it was, cold and miserable but curious.

Every thing seemed so silent except the rain. I got to the corner wanting to run away but I would never know what happened if I did. I held my breath braising my self for the worse and looked.

At first the street seemed empty but I saw something behind a pile of sacks, what ever it was doing it was trying to move the sacks. I felt it was better to say something before I came any closer.

"Is any one there?" I whispered hoping no one will answer and hoping it will.

The Doctor poked his head up and I felt relief flood through me.

"You" He said staring at me.

"You!" I replied lots of whizzing through my mind.

I ran other to him.

" I thought you were dead"

I smiled " Not yet, what are you doing?"

" The sonic screwdriver is picking up signals of a secret passage way to the Palace, the least place were the plague has struck so I'm guessing what ever caused the plague is in the Palace"

Then it all came to me, city of the living dead.

"Its like something is supporting the life in dead people but has suddenly switched it off, that whats happened to the guard" The Doctor said.

" Doctor I was wondering how we get out of here"

"Were stuck Kat until I find a way"
