Ellie's POV

I curled my hair and decided to wear the same thing from before because I didn't know what we were doing. My phone vibrated and it was from Ethan.

Ethan: see you in 10 <3

Ellie: okay

I ignored his little comment, it's just a joke, right? I scrolled through Instagram until I heard Ethan's car horn.

About 10 minutes later, I heard his beep. I walked out of my house and felt the cold wind hit my skin and I realized that I wasn't dressed for the weather. I walked toward Ethan's car and he stepped out his car. He look his forest green bomber jacket off, which left him in a grey t-shirt.

"Here, I don't need it" he said handing me his jacket. I grabbed his jacket and put it on, "it looks better on you." He said smiling getting back into his car. I couldn't help but blush.

I got into his black Jeep and he started driving. "Where are we going?" I asked him, "this is my favorite place to go when I'm sad, angry, stressed, happy. It is special, I guess." He said keeping his eyes on the road.

After about 10 minutes of driving, I knew exactly where we were. I left his car and we were at a large corn field with a hidden waterfall, this was me and Ethan's place. This is were we made it official, even though it didn't last that long. "Follow me" He said and I followed him. He led us to the waterfall with a ledge that allowed you to hang your legs over the water.

He sat down first and then I sat down next to him. "Why here?" I asked, "I'm not trying to convince you by taking you here, I could've took you a restaurant or the movies but I want to give you all the answers without any distractions."

"I've missed you" He said turning and looking at me in the eyes. I quickly broke the contact, "I would be lying if I said I didn't miss you. Eth, when I saw you... I felt like I was dying. Like my whole world was falling apart, it still does." He smiled at me and then he looked confused, "I kept asking and asking for another chance for months, why did you say no?"

"I was scared of getting hurt again, expectably by the guy who hurt me the most." I said holding back the tears, I then felt a hand on mine. "I'm sorry, I know that won't help but I'm truly am. You probably think I'm the worst human alive, hell I would too. But I will promise you, I will never hurt you again. I will wait for you, as long as it takes."

"Why? Why did you ruin 'this'?" I asked waiting to ask that question for a entire year. I wasn't mad, I was just curious to see why he would do something like that. "So, I felt like I wasn't enough for you. That's why I decided to wait years to even tell you I liked you. I felt like you would go after Grayson, or anyone else other then me. I felt like our relationship wouldn't last, not because of you. Because I would either do something wrong, or I would just not be enough for you. You are perfect, you are more then beautiful. You are funny, smart, caring, passionate. So, I thought I could be a single man even when I dated you. I know it makes no since, but I changed. I wanted to be with you again, so I stopped getting into fights, started doing good in school, going to practice more, just in all being a better person."

"Ethan..." I started, "I've never stopped fighting for you, I never will." He said caressing my cheek, I looked into his hazel eyes. "I don't expect you to love me again, but I will try. With every part of me."
