"Ring...ring...ring" Jacki muttered to himself. He looked around the classroom watching all the students working quietly. Of course, Jacki was one of the top students in class, so he was already done. He was about to pull out his book to pass the time then the bell started to ring. He hurried to pack up so he wouldn't miss the bus. Unconsciously, he left his homework sitting on his desk. You see, this was a very important piece of homework; he simply could not forget it. If he did, he would get a very bad grade. He quickly walked to the bus talking with his brother, Xavier. "I'm getting the Playstation when we get home." Xavier said with certainty. Jacki laughs to himself and says, "There's no way I'd let you do that. It's not like I have homework or anything so I can-Oh crap!" Jacki started to run back to his classroom realizing that he forgot his homework. "JACKI!" Xavier yelled after him. "I'LL MEET YOU ON THE BUS!" Jacki yelled back. Xavier walked to the bus worried if Jacki would make it back on time.

He felt a sick feeling in his gut. Almost like a cannonball in stomach slowing bringing him to his feet. He came to a slower pace. He felt his brain starting to turn into scrambled eggs. Getting fuzzy. It's almost like a static. Jacki saw black spots clouding up his vision then it turned to all black as he fell into a dreamless sleep. Suddenly, he jumped awake. He went to check his watch then his eyes started to blur. He held his head in pain and stayed like that until the pain started to pass. Once it passed he finally checked his watch which read "9:00 p.m.". "Crap..." he muttered to himself finding that his throat was bone dry. He got up wiping his nose which had some blood dripping from it. He chuckled remembering that he was prone to nosebleeds because of his father. "You know, this is the best day ever!" he shouted sarcastically. He walk to the classroom that he left his homework in and tried to open the door but it was locked. "I honestly can't get a break..." he said to himself. He slumped against the door and starting to bang on the door softly. He wanted to at least finish his homework and not get in trouble for not doing that.

After an hour or two Jacki decided to get up and search around the school. "Maybe I can find the janitor and get him to unlock the door." He thought to himself. He walked down the hallways and tried to call out "hello" now and then to see if someone would hear him but his voice is so scratchy that it almost came out as a squeak. He suddenly heard a manic laugh. So sinister that he could feel chills running down his spine. He laughed to himself as he started to tear up. He felt his heart start to pick up speed. He is standing so still that he could feel his blood coursing through his veins. "Oh god..." he said to himself "Okay, I can do this...". Then started to walk toward the laughing. As he got to the end of the hallway he peaked around the corner slowly. He saw a horrific figure. The figure looked like it was human except...it had some "un-human" features to it. It had unusually sharp teeth. Almost like you would see in a shark. Layer and layers. "It has blue skin....and the black goo...it's blood?" Jacki said out loud unaware that he said it.

The beast quickly turned and looked directly at him. Jacki froze; he started to feel his stomach doing cartwheels. He studied the beast without making a move to see if she perhaps was blind. He thought he might be able to slowly move away hoping she didn't see him. Jacki looked into her eyes seeing if the cloudy look was there or not. It wasn't cloudy. He started to realize there was no chance of him getting out. He began to look at the janitor's closet door slowly figuring out a plan in his mind to get away from this horrendous "thing". After making sure she hasn't moved he began to take a dash for the door. "Crap crap crap." he said as he noticed that she had started to run after him in astonishing speed. He was almost the door when she leaped at him. He quickly dodged out of the way; causing her to fall to the ground. She quickly got up and tried to go after Jacki again, but he got inside as quick as possible. He started to struggle with getting the door closed and locked because she was pulling on the door with every fragment of strength she had in her. As soon as he got it closed she stopped trying to open the door.

He heard no jiggling of the handle so he thought she had given up. Even though he could still hear her heavy breathing on the other side of the door. He backed up so that he could have an advantage if she would have somehow broken the door in half or opened it. As he was backing up he bumped into something hard. It felt like the corner of a table or something. He had no clue, He decided to turn on the light and see what he bumped into. As soon as he turned on the light he looked back at what he bumped into. He saw a dark red table with a black pentagram dead center on the table. There were tainted looking books and papers around it. All dating back to the mid 1500's. "The time where people starting to believe in witchcraft...Huh...figures." Jacki thought to himself. "Who is keeping all of this? Why is that thing here?" he questioned himself. "I see you've found the answer." a deep and almost calming voice said. "I did?" Jacki said responding to the voice. "Yes. You have, child, Would you perhaps have the guts to do it?" He said with a malevolent laugh. "No no no! That thing! You've got to be insane." Jacki said. "Oh...but I am" the man said smiling. "Once you've seen what I've been through.....YOU'LL SEE!" The man pointed to the books on the table. "Use those" he said as he disappeared.

Jacki looked at the books then looked at the door then the books. He shooked his head. "I guess I'm doing this..:" he said in disbelief. He opened the book and his eyes started to widen at the glowing light. He was blinded momentarily by the light and started to feel like someone was stabbing his brain. The pain was almost overwhelming when suddenly he popped into a pitch black room. Jacki wasn't afraid of the dark so he just stood there looking around trying to find some sort of light to walk toward without any worry. When suddenly a booming voice started talking. "Welcome Jacki. I've been expecting you." the voice said. "Who are you?!" Jacki demanded. "I am the all known. I know all. I have a proposal for you, child." the voice said simply. "What exactly is it?" he said. "I have all the answers you are looking for." he said simply. "What's the catch?" Jackie said knowing better not to trust him. "Ah yes. The catch. Jacki. Listen carefully. If you want to know the answer to your questions. It will cost you your life. If you don't you will remain perfectly unharmed and back home in your bed." the man said. "Are you kidding me right now?" Jacki said with disbelief at what he's hearing. "I'll you give you a few minutes to think." Jacki began to think which one would be harder to do. "Would dying be harder the not knowing?" he thought to himself. He soon came to the realization that he would go insane without knowing. "Mister." Jacki spoke up. "Yes child." he said. "I have an answer." "What exactly would that be?" "I want to know and...you know uh die" Jacki said with the sureness dripping in his voice. "That thing you saw was a witch from the early 1500's. Your ancestor sent it in the future to kill you because you were going to be the one to break the seal between the two worlds. Purgatory and the human world. Goodbye son" the man said as he zapped Jacki's heart. Stopping it for eternity.
