"Bruce? It's Barbara. I found something out you might wanna hear. Call me back as soon as you get this message. Bye." He must have been in a meeting so I left him a message. About an hour later my cell phone rings.
"Hey Bruce."
"Hi Barbara. Tell me what you found out about Selina."
"I have some good and bad news. Which would you like first?" I ask hesitantly.
"Bad first. Always bad news first. It makes the good news even better."
"Alright so bad news is I don't know who is stealing from Joker."
"Barbara, hun, I told you it was Catwoman."
"That's the good news. It's not Selina who's been doing it. I talked to Selina today actually. Joker doesn't have anything worth stealing to her. Plus you know she's on our side. She has been ever since you two got cozy."
"Well then who is this 'Catwoman' that's been stealing?"
"Selina doesn't know either. She's quite offended that this woman thinks she can impersonate her."
"So I take it Batman has some researching to do?"
"You got it. If you want help you know I'm always available."
"I might take you up on that offer Barbara. And this means you and Dick don't have to bother Selina tonight. We'll just stay in the cave and figure out who this mysterious 'new' Catwoman is. I might invite Selina too. I'm sure she'd love to find out who's been trying to fill her shoes."
"Alright Bruce. I'll see you later tonight."
"You got it. I'm going into my other meeting now. Goodbye." *click*
* * * * *
I arrived at Wayne Manor around 8 o'clock. I walked into the cave to find Bruce and Richard looking at police files on female criminals that have recently been released.
"Babs is here!" Dick said excitedly.
"Hello Barbra. Selina is running a little late. We're just trying to see if any of these woman could be possible Catwoman doubles," Bruce explained to me.
"How can I help?" I asked.
"Do you have any video footage of the crime at the station?" Asked Bruce.
"I'm sure I can find some if I log into the system. Scoot over."
Bruce moved out of the way of the computer so I could log into the police station's records. I found a video of the robbery at Joker's main warehouse. I was about to play it when Selina walked in.
"Sorry I'm late! The boss had all of us stay later tonight to finish our editing," Selina explained to us. She works for Gotham Magazine as an editor. She got the job after she decided to work with us. Bruce wrote her a great recommendation letter so they absolutely had to hire her.
"We were just about to play the video from the robbery. Wanna watch?" I questioned.
"Yes, of course! I want to see who this imposter is!"
As the video played I noticed that something was off. The cowl that was worn didn't exactly match Selina's. But that wasn't the only difference... You could see that the hair under the mask wasn't black. It was sort of different colors. Selina's hair was clearly jet black. I paused it and zoomed in on her hair.
"Look at her hair! It's different colors!" I pointed out.
"Could it be-" Bruce started.
"Harley?!" Selina shouted sounding slightly offended.
"But why would she do that? Isn't she grossly in love with Joker?" Dick asked confused.
"She's supposed to be..." I said uncertain.
"Well looks like we have some snooping to do. Everyone suit up. Selina and I will find Joker. I want you and Dick to find Harley. We need to find out what's going on. No conversations or confrontations. We're just going to stay hidden and watch from above. Got it?"
"Got it," Dick and I said at the same time. He looked at me and smiled before walking away to get his suit.
