You thought that your life is an Irony of some sorts.
Opening the door, you saw your infamous neighbour walking past with girls clinging around him like snakes and monkeys which had been a natural occurence to you eversince he became your neighbour.
As he passed by, your eyes met but there were no exchanged of smiles nor greetings. Just a simple eyecontact which you were glad seeing as you're not good at faking smiles and he already knew of that.
He knew you like the back of his hand and vice versa.
You were childhood friends until one day, everything suddenly changed and slowly... you drifted away from him.
He didn't need you. You didn't need him either.
Lies.
The girls gave you a sharp look but you chose to ignore it. Pretending not to notice was the best response anyway.
Well, you didn't want them to snoop and be nosy about you. You didn't want people minding your business and invading your privacy. You like your personal space and you rarely share it.

Time passed by in a blur and it was already afternoon. You were walking with your friends in one of your Mathematics subject. You didn't want to come but they were relentless about it, so you obviously gave in.
You knew why they're so relentless about it and that reason was currently walking side by side with you.
You observed him from the corner of your eyes and noticed that he was tensed. He was one of your classmates and apparently, he seemed to have feelings for you which meant trouble in your part.
You don't do relationships. You had no experience when it comes to a normal relationship with someone and on top of that, you didn't want to hurt his feelings and give him false hope so you're only left with one choice.
Reject him later.
With that decision in mind, you looked forward. "Where are we going?" You asked at the giggling girls in front of you.
"You'll see soon," one of them glanced back.
You just sighed and chose to go with the flow and get this over with as soon as possible.
When you reached your destination, you almost choke on your own saliva when you saw the cafe you were heading to. "Why here?" You asked, a frown plastered in your face.
One of your friends leaned closer to you. "Well, you see. This is where Professor Kent works as part time job."
'I know,' you wanted to say but just kept it on your head. You knew the staffs there pretty well as you would frequently visit the cafe.
And someone you knew was working there too.
"Plus I heard the other waiters are total hotties!" They giggled at that and entered inside excitedly.
You wanted to just go home when you entered the cafe, especially when you and your admirer were sitting separately from the others.
You shot them a glare and they just grinned at you.
"W-What do you want, [y/n]-san?" The person in front of you asked nervously, his hands shaking while holding the menu. "A-ah.. I-I can't read them..." he muttered under his breath but it was loud enough for you to hear it.
You couldn't help but raise an eyebrow and chuckle a little at his actions. "You can't read it right because you're holding it wrong."
He blushed and turned the menu hastily that it flew at your feet.
